We went thrifting! I was hoping to find something specific for a friend, but was unsuccessful. We did find some goodies though.
We found a set of authentic matryoshka dolls, a cotton wreath, artwork of a unicorn with foals, oven mitts, a silk lined wool coat (TAHARI), and candle sticks!
Now for the explanations!
Seven of my siblings were adopted from Russia, so I've been interested in Russia from a young age. Mom always brought back some things she had bought while in Russia and matryoshka dolls were one of those things. I didn't get to keep any of them when Mom passed away, so I'm thankful to have found these.
My daughter Aelia actually found the unicorn print and I agreed with her that it was a nice piece of art. We plan on buying it a more complementary frame.
I've never had a door wreath, if you didn't know, they tend to be ridiculously expensive. This one was four bucks and didn't have glitter on it like the other cotton one that was there.
Handsome wanted to get Corabell a good coat, at first he found a North Face jacket, but then he saw this wool coat. I tried it on and it was a little too small for me which meant it should fit Corabell well. To top it off, TAHARI is apparently an extremely expensive brand and this silk lined wool blend coat may have cost multiple hundreds of dollars new, but we bought it for only $13.
If you've seen my post about preferred oven mitts, you may know that I needed some new oven mitts. Honestly, until today I didn't even know Goodwill sold oven mitts, but I found some I wanted to try and now I can toss my worm out ones away.
Candle sticks are surprisingly expensive, but this large set was only four bucks!
