We have two fabulous clinic opportunities this winter at Meadow Lake.

Monica Spencer, team rider for NZ, is joining us February 22-23. Riders can ride one day or both. Jump groups will be grouped by level, and private dressage lessons will be offered both days if time allows.

Brian MacMahon is coming March 14-16 for private dressage lessons. Brian brings his expertise in the ring and joins it with his judging experience. His lessons focus on correct gaits and quality movements. Riders may ride one, two, or three days. All levels are welcome.

2025, Here We Come!

We have a slightly different schedule this year, so please mark your calendars!

Our Spring Dressage Classic is an affordable, easy way to get early season scores without losing a weekend.

Our Mini Trials run pre-starter (18"!) to novice. Our Combined Tests run x-rails through Intermediate with challenging SJ courses, and we offer dressage classes, leadline, and jump rounds at every level.

Better late than never! Our team had a fabulous end-of-season event at River Glen. We had a big group join, and everyone came away more educated, feeling successful, and we had a lot of fun.

Some highlights of the weekend:
🥇Anabelle and Taz won their Modified division
🥇Molly and Cheeto won their starter division. 🥉Aurea and Bow finished in third in their novice division, feeling all of their hw come together
🥉Lindsey and Apollo finished third in their Training division
🎉Dory and Paris finished 6th in their first starter together
👏🏻Hayley and Eddie had their last show together, and while the scores don’t show it, they had a super time and Hayley is feeling ready for her next mount!
👏🏻Sam and Serena came to the dark side and competed in their first HT ever. We cannot wait to continue to see them both have fun next season!
👏🏻Maddie and Louis also had their first starter outing, and our favorite Louis learned so much!

Huge thank you to the entire crew who helped this show run so smoothly. It’s one of our favorites to attend each year! Stay tuned for 2025 announcements, we are tired but looking forward to another fun year!

Great job to all of our clients at Team Challenge a few weeks ago!

Hayley and Eddie conquered their water issues over a tough Training xc course, and had a fabulous dressage test. They had a few tired rails in SJ but were otherwise very confident in all three phases.

Nicole got to catch a ride on Trudy’s Symphony, finishing in 3rd place with three perfect phases. They did a great job forming their partnership over the past month or so.

Anabelle had fun rides on both of her horses- Taz and Beezy. It’s so fun to watch Beezy’s improvement over this season! Taz had a great run around the T3D course with an unfortunate missed jump ending their ride early.

Lindsey’s Apollo had another educational run around his second training, and came away braver and smarter after so many combinations on course.

It was extra fun to have Dory’s Paris and Maddie’s Louis as non-competes too!

Big thank you to the whole team of officials, volunteers, and staff for putting on such a large event with levels for everyone. Many of our riders were on MSEDA Teams, and we had so much fun!

Avalon | 6 yo | 16.1h | Friesian x QH | gelding | American Warmblood Registry

Avalon is the most friendly, fun gelding ready to have a job! Avalon has been bred, broke, and trained by his amateur owner and has dabbled in eventing and dressage. He evented through beginner novice in his four-year-old year, and had time off due to no fault of his own. He started back in work this spring and is fit and ready for a new owner to take him up the levels. While he can (and enjoys) jumping, he is best suited for a dressage career with occasional cross training.

Avalon tries very hard and loves his people. He is quiet but still green and needs a rider who is understanding of a young horse brain and can continue to encourage him to mature.

Located in central KY, just south of Lexington.

We have so much to post about from our last mini trial of the season, but first…

Huge Congrats to Erin Pullen of Go Big Eventing for winning our Rood & Riddle Equine Hospital Trainer Jump Giveaway. Erin’s students wrote the most heartfelt emails about her- over and over they said that Erin was kind, patient, so hardworking, and helped them learn to be confident and caring horse people due to her example and training. Erin has worked hard to grow her business, opening her farm to the greater eventing community this year during her first combined test this summer. We are so honored to have gifted Erin a new jump for her farm!

A big thank you to Rood & Riddle for graciously supporting Meadow Lake each year through show sponsorships and incredible vet work. We love giving away this jump to a deserving trainer.
