🥧The results of the 2024 Pie Challenge are in!🥧
From November 18 - December 3rd, we had four pups returned to owner, thirteen transferred to our incredible rescue partners, and SEVENTEEN PUPS FOUND THEIR FOREVER HOMES!
We are beyond greatful for the support we have received from our community. Although our team was (maybe too) excited to pie the director, what matters most is 34 pups will be spending Christmas in loving homes outside of the shelter.
For the love of pups (& pie,) we are EXTENDING the challenge… but this time Animal Control Officers will be receiving a pie to the face for every 10 pets who find a home before Christmas😊
Thank you to Williamson County Regional for kicking off this fun event, and everyone who was a true hero for these pups just in time for the holidays.

Watching wagging tails and purring whiskers over a special meal reminds us why we do what we do. 💛

BIG NEWS: Our Rescue Rebuild is COMPLETE!
The wait is over—thanks to the incredible team at Rescue Rebuild, our shelter has undergone a transformation we could only dream of. Our old, cramped single-room setup has been replaced with three stunning kennel rooms, each designed with care to create a space that’s safer, brighter, and more comfortable for the dogs we love so much. These kennels are bigger, better, and truly built for the happiness and well-being of every pup in our care. 💕
Walking through the new space, seeing wagging tails, hearing happy barks, and watching the dogs settle in—it’s nothing short of magical. This project has filled our hearts with so much joy and gratitude, and we can’t wait for YOU to see it!
As incredible as this transformation is, we still have the same number of kennels, which means our pups still need your support to find their forever homes. These kennels are just a temporary stop on their journey. Adopters, fosters, and volunteers play a crucial role in making sure these sweet dogs don’t spend the holidays in a kennel—no matter how beautiful it is 🦃💛

🎉 Pies for Pups Challenge is ON! 🥧🐾
We’ve been challenged by the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter director to join the Pies for Pups Challenge, and we’re stepping up to the “plate”! For every 10 positive dog outcomes—adoption, foster, rescue, or return to owner, or outing—our director will take a pie to the face 🥧 (and you know we’re aiming for a lot of pies!).
Adoptions are just $3.14 (yes, like Pi!) now through December 2nd to help us hit our goal. We’re over capacity and need our amazing community to rally together.
We are challenging the Central Texas SPCA team and director—let’s not let them throw more pies than we do! 😏
Help us save lives, and let’s make this challenge one for the books!
