I just can't say enough about this girl. Stormie hasn't been ridden for over 2 weeks. I saddled her up and went for a trail ride this evening. I decided to take PT along. Stormie has never ponied another horse before. She was such a good girl and didn't even have a care in the world. I just love her so much!!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

Bentley is doing great, I put the bridle and surcingle on him for the first time on Saturday. He handled it like a pro. He is so smart and just loves to work. I'm going to try and show him at the Scottsdale Arabian Horse Show next year. I'm so excited to see what my future holds with him.

I finally got on this guy just over a week ago. He has been doing great under saddle. Today after working in the round pen I rode him off the property. This was his first time and I didn't go very far. He was a little nervous but did good.

Today was Mavericks first time with the saddle. I knew he was going to buck and he did. It went on for almost five minutes. Once him stopped and settled down he was fine. He also got to stand tied with the saddle on while I was working another horse.

Here is Maverick standing tied with the saddle after his workout. While I was working another horse.

My Half-Arabian mare DPS Tres Chic aka Stormie. Getting her workout early this morning. She is out of shape and a little over weight. I trained her 2017 and showed in 2018. After that she just hung out at her owners house. I was able to buy her and bring her home a few days ago. She has been ridden a few times in the past few years. She still remembers everything I taught her. I can't wait to be riding her again. I plan on making her my Hunter Jumper. ❤️❤️❤️

Congratulations to Patricia Schilling on your purchase SS MAGNUMS ECHO aka King. I'm so excited for you.

Maverick is coming along great, we have had a few set backs but nothing major. This is the first day just having the surcingle on. He bucked a few times but then settled right down.
I always tell people ground work is so important. Lots of desensitizing and getting used to things. I always make sure a horse listens and is well mannered on the ground before I even get on. Some horses take longer then others. But safety is my number one rule, for both horse and rider. I always want a horse to be confident in themselves.

In less then five minutes Maverick walked into the trailer. All I want him to do was look at it. He decided he wanted to get in.

Maverick is a 2 1/2 year old paint gelding came here for training last Saturday. Me and a friend of mine went to pick up him and his mom, he had never been in a trailer. I fought with him for over an hour. But we finally got him in. It definitely was not the best experience for him. I have been working with him all week. After working with him this morning in the round pen, I took him over to the trailer. All I wanted him to do was looked at the trailer and know it wasn't scary. He decided to get In, it took him less than five minutes. I just had him stand there for a bit. His owners were so excited to hear how well he got in. I will post videos in a separate post.

I'm so proud of this boy. King did great for his first time riding out away from home. We went for about 2 miles on the trail and 1 mile around the neighborhood. He got a little nervous with the barking dogs and huge dumpsters, but we worked through it and he was fine. He is also for sale if anyone is looking for a nice riding horse.

The weather was beautiful for a ride. PT was a butthead the first half of our ride. But after a few times of trotting and cantering in circles in the sand, he calmed down. After that I had a nice ride. He walked on a nice loose rein all the way home. I love this horse so much. Video in comments

What a day at the Arabian Region 7 Horse Show yesterday. Left at 6am and got home around 9:30pm. PT was such a good boy, I'm so proud of him. I didn't have any under saddle classes but I rode him anyways. He was awesome under saddle no issues. Bentley did okay with being his first show. He wasn't bad but everything was so new, It was a lot to take in for him. Both boys got 2 Top Fives in Sport Horse In-hand. Thank you babe Joel Christiansen for going with me and all your help. I can't wait for the next show.

My Passion

My passion for training horses started at a young age. My dad worked on a ranch while I was growing up. He also worked on a racetrack before he met my mom. We always had horses and I learned from a young age how to take care and train them. I was in the 4-H program, I showed horses, lamb, swine and rabbit. I learned a lot while in 4-H. I always wanted to help horses and help people with their horses. Being around horses I feel I'm in my happy place.

After I have worked with a horse and I see the owner ride them it makes me so happy. I love that feeling you get when you know you did something good. I have different ways of training a horse. Over the years I have watched and learned from other people. I’m always willing to learn new training techniques. I believe every horse learns different, just like people. Some are fast learners and some are slow learners.
