We are thrilled to announce that Dr. Katie Haukos has joined our practice! Dr. Haukos comes to us from Reliance Veterinary Services, and we are so excited to have her on board full-time! 🙌

Dr. Haukos has expanded her days working out of our office to every Tuesday in September as well as 9/13 and 9/18. Call 913-681-3636 to get on her schedule. 😎

Hello friends! I'm grateful for your patience and understanding as I've navigated life with this little baby bean. I've established a schedule and have more availability for appointments. Please reach out to schedule fall vaccines, dental floats, chiropractic and/or acupuncture, lameness, and more.

We have more haul in options available east of Lone Jack if interested. For Kansas clients, I do have availability through Dr. Gentry’s office.

Great news for those who use Equioxx, Gastrogard, or Prascend! If you’re planning to buy any of these products, don’t miss out on the rebates. Here’s a quick rundown.

Equioxx and Gastrogard: Rebates are available for purchases made between July 1 and December 31, 2024.

Prascend: Rebates apply to purchases made from April 1 to November 30, 2024

We are pleased to announce that, starting this month, we will have additional veterinary support at our office. Dr. Katie Haukos will be joining us and offering her expert services, including sports medicine, wellness, dental care, chiropractic, acupuncture and laser therapy.

She is currently available on August 13th, 16th, 22nd, 23rd, and 30th, with more dates to be posted soon for September. We look forward to the enhanced care and support she will bring to our clients.

Additionally, during this time, all clients of her practice, Reliance Veterinary Services will be eligible for care through our practice, including emergency services. Please call 913-681-3636 to schedule.

The Fourth of July is almost here, and many horse owners are concerned about how their horses might react to loud fireworks. 🎆

In the graphic below are some tips to keep your pets and equine companions safe during the festivities.

If your horses are staying out overnight, now is a good time to check fencing and look for any hazards like rocks, branches, or holes that could lead to injury if an animal starts running. If you have a high level of concern about your horse's response, consult your veterinarian about the appropriateness of calming agents and sedatives in advance.

No matter what your plans are, please remember to practice safety and be considerate of the people and the animals living around you so everyone may enjoy the celebration.
