Let's see what we can find for Throwback Thursday. This is from 1981. Tony and Lisa with Greaves' Big 'Un. He was our first miniature sized horse born in 1963 and our first registered when AMHA started. He was 15 years old and had been used as a teaser for my dad's Quarter Horse operation, Flight 8, while I was in college, grad school and NY acting. Then headed our search for a place in miniature history.

Our friend, Steve Riley took some wonderful pictures at his visit. Here is one I really like that reminds me of El Dorado's grandsire, First Knight's Billy Idol.

Fun having our friend of many years, Steve Riley here for a visit and taking pictures of the horses. He was a dancer, choreographer and on Broadway in A Chorus Line when we were acting many years ago. Now he is a renowned photographer. .These are not pictures that he took but we will share some of them in the near future, I am sure.

We had four horses develop a cough at the show. We treated all four, but lost one of them yesterday.

One of our weanlings, Little America's Skip's Carousel was World Champion Weanling Stallion 27" - 30". His dam is a Boone's Little Buckeroo daughter who was Reserve Senior Mare 32"-34" in 2008. He is by one of our palomino stallions, Lucky Four Skippa Gold Sensation by Wittmack's Little Skipper.

Another nice happening at World was our weanling c**t winning the Weanling over 27"=30". Little America's Skip's Carousel. His dam is a Reserve World Champion Senior Mare and daughter of Boone's Little Buckeroo. His sire is a beautiful palomino, Lucky Four Skippa Gold Sensation.

We just got home from a long, but fun and rewarding AMHA World Show. Don't think that we have missed one since 1982. We got eight trophies this trip and saw lots of friends and hopefully made many more. Congratulations to all and home everyone makes it home with no problems. Lauren did a beautiful job making our display so much better than ever before.
We were happy that our PQ Senior Stallion won World Champion Amateur Stallion 28" and Under - Level 2 and Reserve World Champion Senior Stallion 28" & Under and Reserve World Champion in Produce of Dam and Get of Sire.

We no longer have any youth showing but we still came up on Thursday to make sure we could get an RV spot. Finally are all set. Lauren has done a wonderful job updating our display: new drapes, new pictures trying to ease us into the present and maybe even the future.

I guess the only one that I haven't shown is two-year-old Little America's Idol's PQ Goldblaze, Guess we saved the best for last, at least she was last year! She was the Open Heritage World Grand Champion and World Champion Yearling filly 29" & Under. She is one of three PQ offspring showing this year and he was three times World Champion and her dam, Winning Streak's Magic Allure was Reserve World Champion herself. Goldblaze's full brother,, Little America's Idol's PQ El Dorado was retired last year after being a part of 15 World Titles. Hopefully seeing a lot of you tomorrow and the next week or so. We will be in the Burnett Building, stalls 307-312 & 329-332.

Little America's Secret's Fascinator

Here's a new Guinness colt, Little America's Guinness Valor. He is out of a daughter of LR Phantom's Secret Storm. He says,"This trough is too tall!"

Day 6 I was nominated for the 10 day horse owning challenge. Every day I select an image from a day in the life of horse ownership and post it without explanation. I am not going to nominate anyone every day though, but would love it if you would post a horse picture, too every day for ten days.

Morning watch. We always start foaling fairly late because I don't like foaling in freezing weather. We moved our ladies into the maternity ward waiting room a couple of days ago.
