I mentioned that we would introduce some of the others in our "private collection." I would say that Little America's Galaxy Traveller 28.5" has to be the queen bee of the group. She is twenty years old and has produced some of our most colorful tiny horses. We laughingly call her the stage mom because two of her fillies have been regulars on TV shows and her newest is the one who is on line almost daily with the big therapy group, Mini Therapy Horses, in California. She has had three Andy fillies and we have been unable to keep any of her outstanding foals, but likely we will keep her next, hopefully to eventually replace her. Tony laughingly calls some of our tiniest, his "Private Collection". We will share a few of them in coming days. This, of course, is the head honcho of this special group, presently. Little America's StruttinAnniversary who is the 26" stallion making quite a name for himself.

Ray Zoercher
I was saddened to hear today that my friend Ray Zoercher died. Many of you will know him from being a long time judge, known as an excellent one and colorful attire. I had the pleasure of doing many miniature horse sales with Ray all over the United States. I would like to share a little more about him for those who have not been around for decades.
Ray brought great experience from a background in Arabian horse showing and always wanted to improve the miniature horse shows, raising people's preception of "that new breed" miniature horses. He was an outstanding promoter and with his friend and neighbor, Don Burdette put on The Event, a first high classed weekend for miniature enthusiasts in Lufkin, Texas. They presented an excellent show and some of the very first detailed seminars for the many new comers and experienced owners. It included a Parade of Sires for several years highlighting some of the top sire of the time. One year, even had the TV show come to highlight our breed on "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous" a popular show of the time which was syndicated from 1984-1995.
Another time he had the Mexican movie star and miniature horse breeder, Vicente Fernandez, known as the Mexican Elvis, bring some of his Fernandez Horses, a special breed that he had been developing at that time. I was President of AMHA at the time and was asked to ride one of the Fernandez horses for the audience.
The Event also presented an outstanding auction sale of some of the best horses available at the time. Some sale records were set at those sales.
Because of the outstanding productions of The Event in Lufking, Ray and Mr. Burdette, added style and class to several years at the World Show with a very fashionable and successful World Sale complete with outstanding meal, catered by one of Burdette's restaurant's each year.
I could go on and on with other reasons to praise and remember Ray Zoercher and his influence on the miniature horse business until shortly before his death, but I think that this is enough for today. He will be missed by all who knew him.
