Meet Daryl and Maggie! 🐾
Certified with Helping and Healing Paws since 2018, this wonderful team has been making a difference for years! Daryl and Maggie enjoy competing in Rally Obedience and Competition Obedience, always showing off their impressive skills. 🏅 Maggie, a senior dog with a heart of gold, loves her filled Kong treats and especially treasures lap time cuddles. 🐾💚 She may be a senior, but Maggie still loves all the attention she can get! We’re so lucky to have them spreading love and comfort as a therapy dog team!

🐾 Therapy Dog Thursday 🐾

Every third Thursday of the month, our furry friends bring joy, comfort, and smiles to the residents of Park River Estates Care Center! 🐶❤️ The residents absolutely love their visits, and it's clear from the biggest smiles on their faces.

Our dedicated therapy dogs know the drill: after a visit full of tail wags and petting, they head straight to their favorite reception desk for a well-deserved treat! 🍪🎉 A big thank you to the incredible staff for spoiling these pups after all their hard work.

Certified with Helping and Healing Paws for 2 years, this amazing pair is always ready to bring smiles to everyone they meet! Ashton absolutely loves going on walks and showing off his tricks. But his absolute favorite thing to do? Play FETCH! 🎾🏃‍♂️ When he’s not chasing after the ball, Ashton loves spending time with the elderly—he has a special place in his heart for them! 💚 We’re so proud of Ashton for spreading joy and comfort as a therapy dog!

Not only do they bring their amazing therapy dogs to spread joy and comfort, but they also share photos of all the fun and wacky things they do with their dogs! 🐕📸 The residents absolutely love seeing the photos posted in the gathering space—it’s a guaranteed way to bring smiles, laughter, and some heartwarming moments. 💚 Thank you to this awesome team for creating such special memories and bringing happiness to the residents every week!

Meet Sue and Annie! 🐾
Certified with Helping and Healing Paws since November 2024, this dynamic duo is already spreading love and joy! Annie, a 16-month-old purebred Alapaha Blue Blood Bulldog, enjoys walks, playing ball, and taking training classes. Her favorite toy? Anything she can destroy! 🧸💥 When it comes to treats, Annie can't get enough of baby carrots! 🥕 But her absolute favorite thing is meeting both old and new friends—she LOVES people! 💚 We’re so thrilled to see Annie bring comfort and happiness as a therapy dog!

Meet Shannon and Gunner! 🐾

Certified with Helping and Healing Paws since February 2025, this pair is already making an impact! Gunner loves his daily walks, car rides, and chewing on his favorite moose paddles. He also enjoys licking peanut butter off his lick mat (yum!). 🦴🥜 Gunner truly is the best boy ever, and we’re so excited to see him spread joy and comfort as a therapy dog! 💚

🐾 Therapy Dog Thursday 🐾

This week we are shining a spotlight on Sky, who along with her owner, Joanie, have completed over 100 documented visits since getting certified in March 2023🐶💚

Together, they spread love and joy, visiting facilities like Guardian Angels Care Center, St. Benedict’s Senior Community, and Beehive Homes of Elk River. Sky also made special visits to Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, spreading smiles to nurses in their break room. 🏥✨

Sky is constantly learning and growing, with a variety of training classes at Monticello Dog Academy, including Obedience, Canine Good Citizen, Scent Work, and more! She’s earned several prestigious AKC titles, including Therapy Dog and Trick Dog Novice. 🏆

When she's not visiting, Sky loves to go on walks, enjoy park outings, or hang out as the family watchdog. 🦴💕

Sky’s mission is simple: Stay calm, let people pet her, and bring smiles to everyone she meets. Her visits allow people to reminisce about their beloved pets, and there's nothing more rewarding than seeing those smiles. 😄

Meet Monica Tucker and Gunnar! 🐾

Certified with Helping and Healing Paws since the summer of 2022, these two are full of energy and love! They enjoy long walks every day, wrestling in the yard, and running laps around the house. Tucker, the lighter of the two, is a tennis ball addict, while Gunnar can’t resist sliding into the kitchen for an ice cube whenever the freezer opens. 🏃‍♂️

Tucker, 8 years old, volunteers at the University of Northwestern, while Gunnar, who will turn 4 in November, brings joy to patients at Mercy Hospital in C**n Rapids. Together, they make a perfect team, spreading happiness wherever they go! 💚

Archie loves spending time at dog parks, visiting friends and family, and of course, enjoying his favorite treat—pup cups and ice cream! 🍦 Archie’s sweet nature and fun-loving spirit make him a perfect therapy dog. Therapy Dog Thursday🐾

This week, we’re shining a spotlight on Baxter, who, along with his owners Steve and Shannon Whitaker, participates in the Paws to Read with Baxter program at RCL-White Bear Lake! 📚✨

Baxter is helping make a big difference in the community by providing a calm and supportive presence for school-age readers. Kids who are working on their reading skills have the chance to read aloud to Baxter in a safe, non-judgmental environment. This low-stress experience boosts their confidence and helps improve their reading abilities.

We love seeing how therapy dogs like Baxter are helping kids grow and thrive in such a unique and meaningful way. Keep up the great work, Baxter! 💚

Meet Nancy and Oskar! 🐾

New to the Helping and Healing Paws family since July 2024, this dynamic duo is already making strides! Oskar loves going on walks, hiking, attending obedience training & agility classes, and visiting neighbors and friends. He’s a quick learner who loves to please and enjoys chewing on Nylabones, solving food search puzzles, and chasing after his ball. While Oskar is friendly with everyone, he's a little hesitant around children. Nancy is working on safely exposing him to more positive interactions to help him feel comfortable. We’re excited to see their journey unfold! 💚

Meet Meeko and Susie! 🐾

Susie and her amazing therapy dog, Meeko, have been certified with Helping and Healing Paws since May 2022. Meeko, a retired service dog, now spreads joy through therapy visits and hiking. At 5 ½ years old, he’s a loving companion to Susie and her family, even after being diagnosed with Lyme’s disease from their countless hikes together. Despite the challenge, Meeko keeps his easygoing and fun-loving spirit! 💚

Our members that train at Monticello Dog Academy had their annual therapy dog talent show at The Wellstead of Rogers this past Sunday! This event is talked about all year long by the residents and their families!!
