This week’s Seneca Star is Sky!! She is a beautiful lady of about 4 years old with soulful eyes. She came to us as a stray and was never claimed. Thats ok, she is ready for a new life and is sure to make an adopter VERY HAPPY!
Sky appears to be laid back and loving. She made no qualms about settling right in with volunteers for pets and belly rubs! She has been in playgroups with other pups and appears to be a gentle player! Meet here today after her spa day at at with her pals from the .

This week’s Seneca Star is Max!! He was a recent surrender due to landlord issues and is on the search for a brand new home to call his own. It appears he is housebroken but we always recommend and adjustment time in a new home/environment to adjust to a new schedule. He is about 4 yrs of age so he still has many more good years of life to share with his new human pal.

Maxx is a very friendly guy that loves to snuggle. He is strong though and could use some work on his leash manners when he is out and about checking out the neighborhood. He knows how to sit, and takes his treats gently for a reward. He would be happy to learn more cool things in his home especially since all our dogs are sponsored with funds toward training.

Maxx still has some fun energy and enjoys play time. It stated that he did live in a home with kids but we recommend direct supervision, time to adjust and mutual respect taught with any kids in a home. This is the best way to develop a good relationship with a new dog, and make the pooch feel he feels safe and given time to settle in.

Maxx passed his initial assessment with other shelter dogs but he is higher energy so another dog would have to be a good fit for him. This is why we require a meet and greet with any resident dog in a home. It also states in his profile that a home without cats is recommended.

This week’s Seneca Star is Trish! This fawn colored girl is about 2 yrs of age and is definitely a mixed breed, has a shorter stature, and a fuller figure physique. Trish is so happy to leave the shelter kennel and head out to enjoy yard time or take a nice walk in the neighborhood.

It appears that she is housebroken but we always remind adopters that an adjustment time is needed in a new home setting. Trish does know her sit command and takes treats gently after showing off her skill. She enjoys pets and praise, and will surely snuggle up to her person once settled into her new home.

Trish did well on her dog /dog assessment but a meet and greet is always required with any resident dog. She would prefer a home without cats.
