When someone first meets Mojo, whether they're breeding their mare or they're seeing him on a trail ride, I can always count on the following question being asked: "Does he have a hole in his nose?!"

He does! I bought him sight unseen from Oklahoma as a weanling. When he arrived, he had what I affectionately call his "third nostril." I took him to the vet to try and get it closed up but it just broke open again after their attempts.

It doesn't hurt him, but it sure adds to his personality!

"Paycheck" 7 1/2 months old

We bought his dam already in foal to another Appaloosa so we werent sure what we were going to get color wise. We were pleasantly surprised when this guy made an appearance! Boy do they grow.

Even in this awkward growth stage that he is going through, he is still handsome and is going to be absolutely stunning under saddle someday!

Paycheck will leave soon to go to his new owner's house. We will miss him but are looking forward to seeing what they can make of him!

Paycheck's dam (Dolly - Leopard Appaloosa) is bred back for a March 2025 foal to MOJO. The resulting foal will be available.

Mojo is proving to be a phenomenal saddle donkey- today he trail rode with multiple mares and he didn't make a single wrong move. This was his 4th trail ride and he is riding like a horse- keeping up with the short ears, trotting right off, crossing everything and anything, and even did his first lope under saddle today.

Now those are some brains I'm looking forward to seeing passed onto mules!

This lovely lady, ApHC registered Appaloosa mare "Skye," is looking mighty pregnant at 6 months along! She is bred to an outside AQHA Bay Roan Stallion "Four Chex 14" and is carrying our only 2025 horse foal.

Mojo is becoming quite the saddle donkey. Only his 2nd trail ride down - and with his favorite mare, Mojo kept calm and collected 😎 I couldnt ask for a better donkey stud.

Meet Cookie the mule! She is my personal mule which I have owned for a few years now, and unfortunately due to personal circumstances I have decided that I need to rehome her. Standing at 13.3hh, Cookie is stout enough to take up the leg of a taller rider but little enough to make mounting/dismounting a breeze-- which by the way, she stands great for! Cookie has a nice one handed neck rein and is willing to do anything you ask- whether it is going into the river, crossing bridges, climbing the steepest bank, or sliding back down it.. She is sure footed and will keep her rider safe. She stands to be mounted, dismounted, tacked, bridled, haltered, self loads/hauls, ties, is good with her ears, good for the farrier, and is all around easy to handle. She is extremely easy to catch in the pasture and loves the company of people! Cookie has been taken to barrel races and ridden in both outdoor arenas and around all of the trailers and hustle/bustle with no problems. She is barefoot.
Cookie will w/t/c (although a lope takes some encouragement.) She rides out both alone or with others. She has been used to guide trail rides and will both lead and follow and has ponied horses. Cookie is suitable for a confident beginner in groups, but would do best with an intermediate rider when out alone. She is not bad, but she will test her luck by turning around to walk back to the trailer a few times(Shes easy to get back on track, but it might fluster a beginner!) The girl in the photos is 11 and was riding her alone and handled her well.

Cookies biggest flaw is that she doesnt like shots and she is easily bothered by bugs on the trail so does best with bug spray and/or a fly mask.
