Hey SWD'ers! Thanks for sticking with us... we sure do love you guys! So, this DogMa is caretaking for her aging and ailing mother... and our sweet pig too. Here is today's Piggie update!

My sweet little pincushion is chilling after her first acupuncture appt today for her back legs. The old gal's bloodwork is perfect and she's doing amazingly, esp. for going-on 15 years old. The acupuncture is to help her weakening back legs, which are still working. Also, Piggie was given the VIP treatment at the vet today and hung out with the desk staff until I picked her up. I don't know who loved it more... Piggie or the amazing staff!

PIGGIE UPDATE: Fourteen years ago my life changed for the better, thanks to the sweetest girl named Piggie! I have so much to say, but we still have more celebrating to do! Today was for driving around to soak-up the beautiful Buffalo weather and to visit Piggie's favorite sites. BIG thank you to Beth at The Tucker Farm for being the best foster mom ever and for bringing this special chunk into my life!

My sweet Piggie. My ride or die. My heart dog is winding down in this life. I don’t know what time she has left but I will be with her every step of the way. Please keep our special girl in your heart and your thoughts! She will not be alone when it's her time to cross the rainbow bridge. I'm hoping it's not soon. Thank you all so much. Viva La Pig!

Happy Father's day to all the fur dads! Piggie chilled today while I took time to honor my dad. He's been gone for almost 2 years and my heart is still broken. I am grateful to my sweet, comforting Pig today and everyday!

Hey SWD'ers: I am looking into getting our old gal a wagon and I'm wondering if you all have any suggestions! I really think my sweet, 14-year-old Piggie would enjoy the ride, as walking is getting slower for her and she does not like to go beyond her pooping spot. Thanks so much! This DogMa is more than happy to cart her girl around so she can still enjoy the outdoors between short walks. Here she is catching a ride on my 88-year-old mother's walker. Sweet Pig needs a ride of her own. Thanks everyone!

Happy National Rescue Dog Day to all the rescued SWD'ers and their humans! My sweet Piggie came into my life over 13 yrs ago, the day before she was to be euthanized in a GA county shelter. She's made me a better person in every way and continues to dispel all myths/untruths about Pitbulls. Thank you for everything, my sweet girl.

This sweatshirt was Kat's Christmas present and I love it so much, esp. seeing it in person this week! I tried to get Piggie to pose like the pic of her I used.... ears out. I tried making crazy noises throwing keys in the air. I just needed a rubber chicken too! ❤ Also, Kat loveeeeees the sweatshirt and DogMa does too!

If you've been a SWD'er for awhile, than you've seen the lovefest between my niece and Piggie. Kat and Piggie have always had a special bond. It's been an honor to watch them together over the past 13+ years. Here are just a few pics of these lovely ladies. DogMa's heart is overflowing. ❤
