Not the outcome we hope for, but Sage the Heliconia, finally gave up her pearls. 12 in total. Only 3 TINY good eggs and 9 slugs. Not sure if she is totally done but when I palpated 2 days ago, I felt 11, so I am guessing so. Always next year. We will see what is in these little gems in 60 days...

Merida, my amel motley from Leopard sire, has laid her eggs! Last night, I palpated and felt 8. She laid 6 fertile and 2 slugs! Not bad for a first timer. This clutch is sired by Julius the amel het Motley, that has given me lovely banded and pinstripe. Perfect storm for more Leopard motley fingers crossed. I know with 6 eggs, the odds aren't with me, but hoping for some promising candidates!

About to mark these and get them in the incubator T minus 60 days...

Merida my female amel banded motley from leopard sire seems to he restless...eggs soon?

She was bred to Julius my amel het motley. His look is very frosted and he has made nice banded/pinstripe babies historically with Bonnie...so fingers crossed for some prospects for the leopard motley project.

Everything I have read so far leopard tends to follow both pinstripe and banded in some way. I'm hoping to figure that out.

Tiny gecko! Still finishing the bioactive for my pair...this is the male. Spent an extra day in transit but they made it!

Ps I took the thing of my nightmares (day geckos) and microsized it...what was I thinking...

Hello all! I wanted to make an official announcement that I am taking the year off of vending, breeding, and selling. I have too many changes in my personal life that I need to take time to refocus. I also have had a series of losses that were detrimental to some projects, and that made me take a step back to reassess my program and goals. Between personal shifts and shifts to my collection, I need to take a step back and wait until I can focus my energy back into the hobby to give you all the 100% you all deserve from me. I only have paired 3 females this year, and depending on outcomes, I may have very few babies available from my Heliconia, and het testing of my Granite x hypo diffused, and Ultramel banded motley x TS snow.

Thank you for understanding and hope to see you all next year!

Update. The egg went bad as I thought it may.

One egg...

5 slugs and one silly looking egg.

I put Vardan the coral halo snow het motley with Eos the amel sunrise over winter before I decided I wasn't breeding this year (more to come on this and other plans)to test a few things. I separated them a couple months ago ... I was too late. Vardan must have slipped a qu**ky in at some point.Today I find one good egg. Not sure what I am gonna learn but we will incubate it. Both snakes are virgins so at least I know where it came from lol.

Just a quick story about not giving up...

A month ago I lost my Heliconia female adult. She escaped through a gap I failed to notice (happens to us all at some point). Well, last night she showed up 2 rooms from where I lost her, drinking from the utility sink. No idea where she materialized from but...there she was! So relieved!

The only one to cooperate for pics is this boy. Honey Miami het diffused 66% hypo. The female was a bit travel weary and the almond pair the female was in blue and the male just wanted to stretch his "legs" so pics of those later...
