The cold winter months are a popular time for needle crafts and sewing projects. If you have pets—especially curious cats—be mindful of needles and sewing supplies. Even in the most attentive homes, accidents can easily happen, and we do occasionally treat patients who have swallowed a needle, like Maverick.

This educational video from our team in Buford, GA, highlights why these small items can pose a big risk for our furry friends and serves as a gentle reminder about keeping crafting spaces as pet-safe as possible.

We're happy to report that Maverick is doing well following his mishap! Rumor has it that he decided to take up watercolor painting instead of sewing.

We’ve had some very adorable new faces at the clinic this week!

Meet Penelope, the precious kitten tucked into the stocking—she’s 14 weeks old and quite possibly the sweetest kitten ever. She’s already stolen all our hearts!

And say hello to this teeny-tiny 9-week-old puppy (still waiting on a name)! Weighing less than 16 ounces (!), this darling little one is proof that a lot of cuteness can be packed into a small package.

We’re so excited to care for these new clients and watch them grow.
