Friendly midsummer reminder to take extra precautions and safety measures when it comes to taking your pets outside ⚠️

The sidewalk/roads become much hotter than the outside temperature which can severely damage and hurt your pet’s paw pads. Please provide them with proper protection and try not to go on too long of a walk in the heat.

If you like taking your furry friends on adventures in the car, please do not leave them in the car if possible. If you do, absolutely make sure to leave the car and AC on the entire time.

If your pet is panting after being in the heat, do not force them to drink water. Let them pant until their body cools down before allowing them to drink water. Most animals will do this on their own and have the instinct to only drink a little bit of water at a time.

I know some of you have animals that refuse to come inside, or are outdoor pets, so please make sure they are provided with proper protection, shelter, and water.
