Meet Montana! She was brought to us by Gail Moscato with Positive Paws for a professional medical evaluation yesterday as she is having a hard time finding her furever home. She is an extremely high energy Border Collie that is almost 3years old and needs someone who can provide space and enrichment time for her to burn off that energy. She is spayed and fully vaccinated. Montana is currently boarding with us while she waits to find her furever home.
If you are interested in this beautiful girl and can provide a home that can match her energy please contact Positive Paws at 928-275-2172

UPDATE ON GATSBY

As most of you have heard, Gatsby was found wandering the streets last week. His lifelong owner, who loved him very much, recently passed away from cancer and his life got turned upside down. Family of his owner had planned to take Gatsby in but unfortunately they were unable to keep him as he did not do well with their dogs.
Gatsby is a very sweet special needs dog who is partially blind due to a medical condition with his eyes. He requires daily eye cleaning and medication to control this medical condition. With his medical condition and having been the only dog in the house for many years, he was not able to adjust well to having other animals around. The family did the best thing for him and found what they thought was a great foster home for him while they were searching for his new forever home. Sadly, Gatsby somehow ended up wandering away from his foster home and spent a few days on the streets. It has not been determined how or why this happened but it is being investigated.
Some really caring people found him and did the best they could to look after him while trying to figure out who he belonged to. When it was discovered that he was unable to be reunited with his owner or foster family they began requesting assistance in finding him a safe place that could help care for his special needs.
Our social media coordinator saw the post about him and alerted our team. Our team picked him up and brought him to the hospital. He was cleaned up and evaluated by our Veterinary team. He is currently under our care to get his medical condition under control and we are working with SAINT to help find him a forever home.
Gatsby was a little underweight and quite sad in addition to his medical issues when he first arrived here. He is eating well, getting tons of love and enrichment time with our team. His spirits have improved and he seems to be enjoying his stay with our team here at our hospital. Everyone has pitched in to make sure he improves and he is ready for his forever home.
If you are interested in being a foster family for Gatsby or if you are interested in becoming his forever home, please contact us or SAINT at 928-985-0663 or go to [email protected]

🐾MICROCHIP YOUR PET TODAY🐾We offer LIFETIME REGISTRATION with every microchip at NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE and our team ensures your pets microchip registration is complete before you leave the office. We make it convenient and cost effective!
Just $45 until August 31st.

Call, text or stop in to schedule your pets to have their microchip checked or have them microchipped. 928-763-7387

Did you know that 1 in 3 pets will get lost sometime in their lives? Microchips are great for permanent identification that is tamper-proof. They give your pet the best chance of being identified and safely reunited with your family.

We encourage all pet owners to microchip their pets, even their indoor only cats. Accidents happen so just in case they slip outside and become lost their microchip can be scanned by most veterinarians and shelters—often the first stops if an animal is picked up by a good Samaritan.

Pet grooming is an important part of a pet's overall health and well-being. It can help prevent disease and illness, and can even help detect health conditions early:
Hygiene
Grooming removes dead hair, prevents matting and tangling, and removes dirt, pollen, and other debris that can accumulate in your pet's coat. This helps lower the risk of disease and illness.
Skin and coat health
Brushing your pet's coat helps it grow healthy and strong, and also allows their skin to breathe. It also helps keep grease levels down, which can block pores and cause skin problems.
Early detection
Regular grooming can help you identify issues with your pet's ears, skin, teeth, and more. For example, if your pet's hair stays matted for too long, it can lead to skin irritation, bacteria growth, and even parasites.
Other benefits
Grooming can also help decrease shedding, eliminate fleas and ticks, and keep your pet looking and smelling great.
