A HUGE Thank You From Me, Annie (formerly Scarlett)!

Hi everyone, it’s me — Annie!

I wanted to take a moment (in between my naps and biscuit-making sessions) to say the biggest, warmest thank you from the bottom of my purr-filled heart.

Thanks to your kind and generous donations, I was able to have my soft palate cleft repaired by the wonderful Dr. Patton at Country Hills Vet. Now I can enjoy all my meals without any trouble and purr even louder to show my gratitude!

My beloved cat husband, Blaze, has had a little health scare recently and has been feeling a bit cranky. So, I’m spending some time visiting my friends at Bulverde Area Humane Society until Blaze feels ready to have me back home. If you'd like to come say hello, I would absolutely love that — I promise extra head boops and sweet looks!

I know these past weeks have been so hard on everyone, with the tragic flooding in Central Texas. Even though we couldn’t update our newsletter request in time, so many of you still stepped up and helped me. You gave me the gift of healing even while your hearts were heavy.

I also want to thank all of you amazing people who donated to our Kerrville Pets Alive drive. Because of you, so many furry friends have full bellies and feel safe tonight.

We are truly blessed to be part of such a compassionate and loving community. Thank you for helping me, for helping my friends, and for bringing a little sunshine in such a tough time.

Fostering Changes Lives!❤
Our sweet stray from the recent floods — lovingly called Lovey — is heading into a protective custody foster home to decompress and feel safe again. We are truly touched by the incredible outpouring of support and offers to help during this time.

Do you recognize this dog? This gentle girl was found in Ingram and is still looking for her owner. Please help us reunite her with her family.

A pet owner who lost their dog in the flood brought his belongings by to us today. We will keep them on our meeting table as we forge ahead to find lost pets and reunite them with their families.

To the rescue dogs lost in flood missions: you braved rising waters, unstable ground, and raging currents with no fear — only purpose. You swam toward cries for help, carried hope on your back, and gave everything without hesitation. When the waters receded, your absence hit like a wave. You were more than brave — you were a light in the storm, and we will never forget you. 🐾🌊🕊️
