🎉 Six under one year! 🎉

BAHS is bursting with puppy love—Ambrose, Bingo, Raven, Roscoe, Storm, and Wyatt are all under a year old and ready to meet you. From goofy labs to cuddly heelers, there’s a perfect match waiting.

FREE Vaccination Clinic for Cats & Dogs!

FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED. Line up outside the gate at 1 p.m. on 15 November. This will allow our shelter personnel to leave the shelter property at the end of shelter hours.

We will have the line up area marked. Please do not block the exit. We will also have shelter staff there to direct traffic and hand out required forms.

We are excited to announce our FIRST free vaccination clinic for residents of Comal County and Northern Bexar County!

Date: Saturday, November 15, 2025

Time: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

We have enough vaccines to protect 100 cats and 100 dogs – available on a first come, first served basis.

🐱 Cats will receive:

FVRCP vaccine (protects against Feline Viral Rhinotracheitis, Calicivirus & Panleukopenia)

Rabies vaccine

🐶 Dogs will receive:

DAPP vaccine (protects against Distemper, Adenovirus, Parainfluenza & Parvovirus)

Rabies vaccine

Important Details:

Pets must be over 3 months old and at least 3 pounds

Cats must be secured in carriers

Feral cats must be in humane traps

Dogs must remain in your vehicle until it is your turn

Limit of 4 pets per household

This clinic is especially important due to the recent Rabies concerns in our area – protecting your pets helps protect our whole community.

Dodge is a 20-lb Collie mix (DOB 5/29/25) with impressive obedience skills and a heart big enough for everyone he meets.

Returned through no fault of his own, this gentleman knows multiple commands, loves all people, and thrives with another active dog to play and learn with.

Smart herding instincts mean no cats for this clever boy.

🥳 Happy is the Goldilocks of dogs! At 36 lbs, this 6-year-old Shepherd mix is just right—not too big, not too small, but 100% perfect. His owner sadly passed away, but this sweet boy hasn’t let that dim his light.

💔 Sophie’s story starts with heartbreak.

Good Samaritans watched in shock as her family pushed her out of their car and drove away. Sophie—sweet, gentle, 62 lbs of pure love—chased after them until kind strangers scooped her up and brought her safely to BAHS.

Now this 3-year-old Lab mix (DOB 09/13/22) is ready for a new chapter filled with love, loyalty, and forever-family cuddles.

Still waiting for their happily-ever-after. 💛

Sully (17 lbs) and Sierra (14 lbs) came to BAHS as tiny pups, were adopted, and—through no fault of their own—found themselves back with us on Dec. 1, 2024.

These two are the definition of fun-sized joy:
🎾 Sully is a fetch fanatic with a nonstop grin.
🤗 Sierra is a cuddlebug with a silly streak.

They’re little, precious, and hilarious—and they only come as a set. After nine long months, we can’t figure out why no one’s scooped up this perfect pair. Maybe they’re waiting just for you? 🐾
