We provide a caring and secure environment for homeless and surrendered dogs and cats.
(214)

Our no-kill shelter is powered by volunteers and tax-deductible contributions. What Else We Do: We seek to place pets in forever homes where they will be part of the family. We spay or neuter every dog or cat in our shelter. Where possible, we treat them for parasites, injuries, and illnesses. We microchip them. We educate adopters about how to be responsible pet owners. In addition to caring for

animals needs, much of the construction, repairs and grounds maintenance is also a job for our volunteers, as well as performing all the tasks of running a shelter such as answering the phone and keeping records. Volunteering at BAHS is a great character-building experience.

🚨 We need your help – this is URGENT ‼️ 🚨

We found these abandoned puppies and now urgently need serious adopters or fosters who can help very soon.

Due to extreme space limitations, this is not a normal shelter intake. All puppies cannot enter the shelter and must be placed directly into safe, warm, and stable home environments as quickly as possible.

About the puppies:
• Estimated age: 3–4 months old
• Likely Lab mixes (possibly mixed with other breeds)
• Sweet, playful, social, and starved for affection
• Have been living outdoors since November
• Will require basic training, structure, vet care, and continued support

Vet care included:
Vaccinations, deworming, and preventatives are arranged.
Spay and neuter surgeries will be provided through our shelter and Dragonfly Mobile Vet.
Adopters do not pay for basic vetting or spay/neuter.

Legal update:
We were contacted by Bexar County, confirming that legal permission was granted after the puppies were taken in, as they were found in an unincorporated area of the county.
Puppies not adopted soon will be transferred into county-coordinated care for continued fostering and adoption placement.

This is not first come, first served.
We are placing puppies responsibly and carefully.

📧 Serious adopters or fosters only – please email:

Once we receive your email, pickup instructions will be provided.

Sully and Sierra are a bonded pair—and they mean it.
Playtime? Together.
Zoomies? Together.
Joy, chaos, and tail wags? Always together.

These active, fun-loving Terrier mixes (17 lbs + 14 lbs, born 5/8/23) have been waiting since 12/01/24—that’s 409 days of hoping someone will say yes to both.

We know adopting two can feel like more.

So here’s the good news: their adoption fee is half-price when adopted together.

More love, built-in best friends—and a little help from us.

Bonded pairs are often more confident, more content, and already know how to be great roommates. Sully and Sierra aren’t asking for separate chances—they’re asking for one shared future.

If you believe the best things come in pairs… this might be yours.

🐾 Aslan & Flirt – Bonded & Brave! 💛
These kittens have already been through a lot, but they’ve always had each other. Their bond is unbreakable – they must stay together and support one another every day. 🐾

They are finishing antifungal meds soon and will be ready for their forever home, together! 🏡 They are perfectly imperfect and it will take someone with a big heart to give them the love they deserve.

Please note: All adoptions & pre-adoptions are first come, first served. In-person meet & greet is required – we want to get to know you before they go home.

Adoption update : Phoebe has been adopted ❤️

Meet Phoebe – your future little best friend 🐾✨

Phoebe is ready for pre-adoption and can’t wait to find her forever home!
She is gentle, curious, and full of soft purrs and tiny adventures and will steal your heart in seconds.

At the moment, Phoebe is still a little too young to go home right away. She will be ready to leave for her forever home once she reaches the appropriate age 💕

Please note: All adoptions and pre-adoptions are first come, first served. We do not hold kittens or take reservations. To adopt or pre-adopt, visitors must come in person so we can meet you and help ensure the best match for Phoebe.

If you’re looking for a loving companion who will brighten your days and warm your home, Phoebe might be the one for you. And even if you can’t adopt, sharing this post helps a lot to find her forever family 💗🐾
