Jelly Bean was one of our #4H show heifers a couple of years ago. She had her first baby today - a red heifer. Isn't the baby adorable? These were her first steps!!! Jelly Bean sounds like a proud mama!

So many of our heifers are named after foodstuffs. This Galloway is named Butter Biscuit. We also have belties named Skittles, Cupcake, Pudding, Moonpie, and a Sir of Loin. (Warning: Sound is terrible on this video.)

This past weekend was the start of showcation season... We had a great time with our 4H family at the Mountain State Fair! It is one of our favorites year after year!
We've got 100 pounds of hamburger patties in our market store! Happy cows make DELICIOUS beef. These cows are HAPPY!!! (video from this morning) Market store open tomorrow from 12-4 and Saturday 10-4.
Our market store is open till 4 today ya'll. I just had to share this quick video... Our #4H kids just can't get enough of the farm life. Often after a morning working with the cows, they move "on" to the donkeys!
Beautiful sunset - and all we can hear is the munching of cows. (Well, and a dog barking.) Could this be any more peaceful?

Our market store opens at 10 this morning. For now, our 4hers are learning about AI from Dr. Poole. First lesson is that liquid nitrogen is way cool (literally).
