🌟Dutton: An Old Soul with a New Beginning 🌟

Dutton is no stranger to life’s ups and downs. When he first arrived, it was clear this wasn’t his first rodeo. With ground-down teeth, a knack for climbing cyclone fences, and a quiet way of avoiding conflict, we knew he carried a long history behind those gentle eyes.

With love and care, Dutton received dental work, gained weight, had bumps removed, and blossomed back into health. His biggest accomplishment? Becoming certified through the HABIT program, where he shines as a therapy dog in senior homes and hospitals. 💛

Life threw another curveball when both Dutton and his volunteer partner were diagnosed with cancer around the same time. But just like true companions, they healed side by side—and today, both are healthy and back to bringing light and laughter to the seniors they visit - as FAMILY after he was officially adopted!

Dutton is proof that resilience, second chances, and love can rewrite any story. 🐾✨

🐾 Meet a few of our Scholarship Pets ready for adoption!

✨ Jack & Lucy — senior Havanese who can be adopted together or separately. Eligible for our Social Security Pet Program (we cover their medical care for life!). Thanks to your donations, they are much healthier after having extensive dental procedures.

🐾 Scholarship Pet Spotlight: Cashew 🐾

Meet Cashew, one of our Friendsville Scholarship Pets, who came to us with his sister when their owner could no longer care for them due to long work hours and a change in living situation. 💔

While it was a tough call, we made the decision to separate the siblings—Cashew was always in the background, letting Katie take center stage. But once he had his chance to shine solo, his true personality blossomed. 🌟

Now, Cashew is affectionate, loyal, and eager to bond. He LOVES exercise (think graceful gazelle 🦌), enjoys a good grooming session (fancy 'do or simple style—he's all in!), and will press his whole body into you just to soak up all the pets. 🐶💕

He's done well with other dogs here and would likely thrive with dogs his size. As for cats… probably a no-go. 🐾

Cashew is ready to take center stage in a forever home that sees him for the star he is. ✨ Could that be you?

Little bitty 4 month old Moxie joined the Scholarship Pet Program on Tuesday with a sponsor who is providing funds for her spay surgery, vaccinations and a microchip. Moxie is a smart and alert little girl! She’ll go through our PuppyPreK program and be available for adoption soon.

✨ Katie Found Her Happy Ever After! ✨

Yesterday, sweet Katie found her forever home—where she’ll be pampered and spoiled just as she deserves! 🏡💜 Her new family welcomed her with open arms, letting her know the sofa is hers to enjoy and that they had saved a special spot for her in the bed. 🛋️🐾

Katie came to us after her former family could no longer care for her. Thanks to your generous donations, she received the medical care she needed—spay surgery, a dental cleaning, grooming, medication, and the good food that helped heal her neglected skin.

Because of you, Katie’s journey now continues in a home filled with love. 💕 Thank you for making second chances possible!
