Sometimes rescue isn’t loud—it begins with a quiet “I need help.”

Mabelline and Lady are sisters who grew up together but lived in a home where life had become overwhelming. Their fur was matted, they spent most of their time outside, and a heartbreaking accident with the family’s chickens left five young children scared, angry, and confused.

The family did the right thing—they reached out, gathered vet records, and trusted us to give the sisters a second chance.

Yesterday, Mabelline and Lady were groomed. Lady leaned in, letting out soft whines that felt like a hug—a clear thank you for their new start.

They’re ready for a home where they are loved and prioritized.

✨ Standard Poodles Jupi & Venus Need a Christmas Miracle ✨

Meet Jupi (8, left, male) and Venus (10, right, female) — two bonded Standard Poodles who’ve had more than a few guardian angels looking out for them.

After their owner went through a difficult divorce, she bounced them around from friend to friend trying to keep her beloved dogs safe. With each move, it became clearer that she might never find a home where they could live with her again. When the last friend’s husband became ill, she was left with only two options: the shelter… or rescue placement.

Thanks to a compassionate volunteer from another rescue reaching out — and one open spot in the coveted Friendsville Scholarship Pet Program — we knew we still had to step in for these two somehow - they truly needed the Program's protection.

Jupi and Venus are calm, gentle, friendly, and (aside from grooming!) wonderfully low-maintenance. They’ll be receiving full dental cleanings and vet check-ups before they’re ready for adoption.

💛 Wouldn’t it be incredible to get these sweet seniors settled into a loving home (or foster home) before Christmas?

🐶 ADOPTION #140 — Puppy Posey
Some matches are just meant to be ❤️
This wonderful family adopted another red golden from us a few years ago, and when they met little Posey, it was love at first sight.

Now, with double the golden love, this sweet pup has joined her perfect forever family. We couldn’t be happier for Posey and her people 🐾🥰

🌟 ADOPTION #139 — Butterscotch
Some stories are worth the wait 💛
Butterscotch came to us just after Christmas 2024. We didn’t really have space, but we couldn’t say no—she was heartworm positive, and despite her amazing personality, no one wanted to take on the long treatment.

We told the shelter, “If she’s still there after Christmas, we’ll come get her.” And sure enough, she was. So Butterscotch joined our program, and one of our incredible volunteers—who has a special love for yellow labs—donated her entire heartworm treatment costs.

Six months later, she was heartworm-free and healthy again 🙌. When that same volunteer and her husband came to visit Tennessee in June, they met Butterscotch in person… and fell in love. ❤️

With an all-expenses-paid trip to Los Angeles, Butterscotch said her goodbyes and headed to the West Coast, where she’s now living her absolute best life. 🏖️✨

🐾 ADOPTION #138 — Chipper
Some promises last a lifetime 💜
Chipper was returned to us after his former adopter experienced major life changes and could no longer keep him. Because Chipper is one of our Scholarship Pets, he was given a purple collar and a Purple Collar Promise—our commitment that we’ll always be his backup plan… forever.

When he came back into our care, he was greeted by familiar faces—old friends, staff, and lots of love. And then, Coco came along and paw-picked Chipper as her new brother 🐶❤️🐶.

We’re thrilled to share that Chipper has found his forever family once again, this time alongside Coco. Once a Purple Collar dog, always part of the family. 💜

🌟Dutton: An Old Soul with a New Beginning 🌟

Dutton is no stranger to life’s ups and downs. When he first arrived, it was clear this wasn’t his first rodeo. With ground-down teeth, a knack for climbing cyclone fences, and a quiet way of avoiding conflict, we knew he carried a long history behind those gentle eyes.

With love and care, Dutton received dental work, gained weight, had bumps removed, and blossomed back into health. His biggest accomplishment? Becoming certified through the HABIT program, where he shines as a therapy dog in senior homes and hospitals. 💛

Life threw another curveball when both Dutton and his volunteer partner were diagnosed with cancer around the same time. But just like true companions, they healed side by side—and today, both are healthy and back to bringing light and laughter to the seniors they visit - as FAMILY after he was officially adopted!

Dutton is proof that resilience, second chances, and love can rewrite any story. 🐾✨

👉 Adopt joy. Adopt hope.
