Meet Janet, the spunky tortie of our “Three’s Company” litter.

She’s curious, adventurous, a tad sassy, and a bit aloof.
Janet loves food. She also loves her siblings’ food. And she’ll happily eat it if they take too long. After all, can’t let it go to waste!

Like most torties we know, she’s quirky. She learned to trust humans based on watching her siblings, but sometimes she’ll do this “fainting goat” thing where she sort of rolls or flops away from us but usually settles into pets. (She remains undecided on belly rubs, however.) But she was the first to discover the heating pad and is more than content to relax and nap there if one of her siblings isn’t around. Or if another cat has claimed it first, she’ll sometimes snuggle with one of the resident cats or even a human. But maybe our favorite thing about her are her tiny bleps when she wakes up.

Janet loves to hang out with our resident cats and is getting more used to human attention, and overall, she is a very energetic kitten and would love to be adopted with one of her siblings, Chrissy (A132474) or Jack (A132475), or be adopted by a family that already has a playful cat to join in the fun with her. Janet has no experience with dogs or children, and since she is the shyest of the group, we think a home with respectful older children would be ok.

If Janet’s tortitude matches your lifestyle, and you would like to learn more about her, please contact her foster mom, Mayra, at [email protected]. With your inquiry, please include some information about your household, experience, and other pets, as well as any questions you might have for us.

Meet Jack, the leading man of our “Three’s Company” litter.

He’s a great kitten. Sweet, playful, and just a bit needy.

Whereas Janet and Chrissy race to their bowls during mealtime, Jack often sits and wonders why we had to interrupt his nap. And sometimes he’ll just whine and demand pets and belly rubs before he goes to eat. But don’t let that fool you, once this little dude gets some gas in his tank, he’s a spazz like most kittens his age and will zoom around, chasing his sisters, or our resident cats, or his nemesis, the red dot.

Jack loves to hang out with our resident cats and likes human attention too, so we have a feeling he may become a cuddle bug. Overall, Jack is a very energetic kitten and would love to be adopted with one of his sisters, Chrissy or Janet, or be adopted by a family that already has a playful cat to join in the fun with him. Jack has no experience with dogs or children, but we think he might do well with respectful older children and/or a dog that has experience with cats.

If Jack matches your lifestyle, and you would like to learn more about him, please contact his foster mom, Mayra, at [email protected]. With your inquiry, please include some information about your household, experience, and other pets, as well as any questions you might have for us.

Meet bonded pair Blake (darker) and Jake (redder) a pair of 9ish month old Doberman mixes. These boys are so fun and terrific and silly and goofy. They're still very much in the puppy phase they definitely are testing boundaries and learning what’s expected of them. Blake is a bit mouthier and bolder, Jake is a bit simpler and the one more likely to be vocal. Overall they were very quiet even when in the middle of a heavy play session. The only time we really heard vocalizations from them is when play got too rough for Jake and he had to tell his brother to quit it. They’re still growing, and together it’s already a lot of dog to take on, so their adopters need to be ready for a lot of action. Since they’re goofy babies, getting them transitioned into a new home and learning the rules will take some up front effort, but once they lock in, it’ll be great. They’ll love going on adventures, but they’re also quite content to entertain each other- one of the best perks of a bonded pair, you don’t have to work hard to burn their play energy, they use sibling power for that. We super enjoyed hanging out with these goobers and could have spent all afternoon with them, easily. While not every human and home is ready or right for 2 big goofball dogs, the home that is ready for them will be incredibly lucky, because these guys are the absolute best!

Come visit the Burbank Animal Shelter to foster or adopt Blake and Jake!

Meet Chrissy, the beauty queen of our “Three’s Company” litter.

Chrissy has this beautiful, sleek coat. Silver with blueish undertones.

She’s the slimmest of the bunch, probably because she’s the most active. She’s also clever. Whereas her siblings will stay on the ground while chasing wand toys, Chrissy often positions herself on the cat condo and opts for sneak attacks, flying to catch her toys.

She also loves attention. If she’s not cuddling with her siblings, she’s often on our bed, burrowed in between pillows. Sometimes she’ll take naps with us. Sometimes on us. But sometimes she’s too much of a kitten and just wants to play.

Chrissy likes to hang out with our resident cats and likes human attention too, so we have a feeling she may become a cuddle bug. Overall, Chrissy is a very energetic kitten and would love to be adopted with one of her siblings, Jack (A132475) or Janet (A132476), or be adopted by a family that already has a playful cat to join in the fun with her. Chrissy has no experience with dogs or children, but we think she might do well with respectful older children and/or a dog that has experience with cats.

If Chrissy matches your lifestyle, and you would like to learn more about her, please contact her foster mom, Mayra, at [email protected]. With your inquiry, please include some information about your household, experience, and other pets, as well as any questions you might have for us.

Meet whimsical Whiskey. This youngish fella is so good looking, it’s impossible to walk past him and not want to be his friend. He's just about 1.5 yrs old, so still has a bunch of puppy energy and needs some help learning boundaries and etiquette. For example he loves to give hugs by putting his paws up on your shoulders, which is really charming, but maybe something that should be done by invitation only. Whiskey is playful, sweet, charming and friendly. To be honest, we do not think he’s gonna be solving math problems any time soon…. But he’s super personable and was happy to be your friend. His body shape and size tells us he probably has very unique genetics and you’ll never find another dog that looks quite like him. He pulls a bit on leash- which can be worked on- but he loves the idea of an adventure. He is curious and not overly reactive to the other dogs fussing when we walk him past their kennels. He will be happy to follow the lead of a loving human who shows him respect and care in their relationship with him. He may not be a dog who logics well on his own, but give him a routine, explain the rules and shower him with love and he will be the best buddy you’ve ever had. Plus- the ears!! I mean- show us a better ear to head ratio! If you enjoy a fine Whiskey- head into the Burbank Animal Shelter and meet this charmer for yourself.

Pepsi came to the shelter with his 2 siblings. They were all pretty scared and didn't understand where they were. But after a lot of patience and treats, Pepsi has turned into a playful lovebug. Once he settled in and decided people were pretty nice, Pepsi discovered toys. He loves playing. At the moment his favorite toys are a little felt mouse and a ball. But he's not all that picky. He will play by himself and will happily let someone join in if they want to. He adores being pet, even from people he's never met before. He will make sure you pet all the right spots - usually around his head and neck. Loud, sudden noises can still make him a little cautious, but he recovers quickly and goes back to whatever he was doing.

Come visit the Burbank Animal Shelter to adopt Pepsi!

Plinko is a big boy with a big personality. He wants attention from everyone who passes by his kennel. He likes pets and plays with a variety of toys. He is incredibly curious and wants to know everything that happens around him. If he had his way, he'd be in the middle of all the action. Plinko loves food. He will lick his bowls clean and act like he's never been fed before in his life. He does get over stimulated with a lot of attention and will get mouthy when that happens. Plinko needs an experienced owner who will listen when he's had enough. He would not be good with small children, but respectful teenagers should be ok.

Come visit the Burbank Animal Shelter to adopt Plinko!

Ricky came to the shelter with a severe skin condition around his head and ears. It took a while but medical treated him and now he's good as new! He's still a little sensitive about being touched around his face and ears from when he was being treated, but he's getting used to the idea that head pets don't always mean medical treatment. :-) He loves to play. He's not picky about what kind of toys he plays with, or if it's even supposed to be a toy. He will entertain himself, but he welcomes others to join in if they want to. Ricky loves to be held. He will snuggle right in and start purring loud enough to hear across the room. He's a great little cat and is going to make a lucky adopter very happy.

Milo is a stunningly good looking 4 year old husky/shepherd mix. He's still a little shy but has really come out of his shell. He pulls some when he is on the leash but that’s because he wants to get in every sniff on his walks!

Milo went to his first offsite event and he was a perfect gentleman. He walked nicely around the park and sat while getting pets from adults and kids alike. He is an active boy so he will need lots of exercise, but he also knows when to chill.

Come visit the Burbank Animal Shelter to foster or adopt Milo!
