We have a very special announcement this !

Some of you who have come into the clinic recently might have noticed a new furry member of our team roaming around or sleeping in his various beds... We would like to introduce everyone to our new clinic cat and companion, Duke!!!

Since bringing him into our clinic for a trial run, Duke immediately won the hearts of everyone he's met, including our BAC family and our clients. He is sweet, affectionate, outgoing and an extrovert. Duke's favorite activities include chasing his toy mice all over the clinic and getting the zoomies first thing in the morning when we open. His biggest quirk is an obvious one, he is cross-eyed, which makes him ten times more adorable than he already is!

Our team is excited to welcome Duke as our resident clinic cat and as our newest addition to the BAC family, as well as have him featured as our star this week! 📸✨️

Also a very special shout-out to Mount Purrnon Cat Cafe and Wine Bar and Fancy Cats & Dogs Rescue Team for introducing Duke to us and giving us an amazing cat that stole all our hearts the second we met him!

We would like to introduce you to one of our cherished companions, Scribble! It looks like he's got some nice choices for a Halloween costume this year. 🦈🌭

Scribble's favorite activity is patrolling the yard, especially to watch out for a particular fox that he has a vendetta against for constantly pooping on the porch. His biggest quirk is that he is a proper gentleman and his rules are everything in the house, and the fact that he has one pointy ear and one floppy ear!

While Halloween can be a blast for us, it can pose dangers for our pets. Check out our tips to keep them safe and healthy:

🍫 Keep Candy In A Safe Place: Candy or treats that contain chocolate or xylitol should be stored away from pets.

🕯️ Secure Decorations: Ensure candles, jack-o-lanterns, and other decorations are out of your furry friend’s reach.

🎃 Choose Comfortable Costumes: If you dress up your pet, make sure their costume is breathable and comfortable.

It's been way too long since we posted something with Banjo. Here is a cute video to fill the void!

"Miss Penelope" Goes to the Vet

Well, spring officially started this week; but “Miss Penelope” bunny beat the rush and came in early to make sure she was in tip-top shape to start the season. She is about 3 yrs. old. Here Dr. Colvin performs her wellness exam. “Miss Penelope”, Lianne’s bunny, is in good health and was an excellent patient.

This is a great video of "Bertram" playing with a treat ball. His owners did a wonderful job filming him. Treat balls can provide environmental enrichment and stimulation for pets; they get them up and moving. You need to remember to subtract the food given from his daily allotment so the calories don't pile on extra pounds. Also you may want to supervise your pet with the ball because you don't want food spilling out where it isn't easily seen where it will go bad or attract ants.
