My name is S'mores and I'm very scared.

One day, I was loving life with my person. I had about a decade with them!. The next, my person was suddenly gone and I was in a very loud place. My elderly person crossed the rainbow bridge before me and now I'm confused and alone.

I really need to get out of here. I just hide under my blanket all day long. The people here are very nice and give me all the pets and quiet talks, but the other cats make it so loud.

I really don't need much. If you have a single bedroom with a cozy bed and are willing to sit and be quiet with me, l'll be so happy.

Please can you help me? I'm so scared and confused. I just want to be in a home again even if it is a temporary one. I really need a foster.

Update: ADOPTED!

Wulan is a 57-pound bundle of fluff and affection! She arrived at our shelter as a stray, so her past remains a mystery. However, one thing is clear: she spreads joy and laughter wherever she goes.

Wulan spent some time in foster care, and here’s what her foster family had to say about her:

"Wulan is a true angel and was exceptionally well-behaved during the 10 days we fostered her. She is house-trained and had no accidents. She loves squeaky and chew toys.

Wulan quickly learned to sit on command and will sit for her food, as well as when her leash is put on or taken off. While she isn’t keen on meeting many adults, she is fantastic with children. She got along wonderfully with my 8-year-old. Wulan is very mellow indoors and enjoys being near people. She relaxed easily and even watched several holiday movies with us.

She walks wonderfully on a leash, as long as there aren’t too many people around. If people are behind her or other dogs are near, she will stop and sit until they pass. She does pull on the leash when she spots squirrels or other creatures and is learning the command "leave it" to ignore things that aren’t meant for her during walks. Overall, she is gentle but very observant of her surroundings, and she can get nervous in crowded situations.

We would absolutely keep Wulan if our schedule allowed for it. She was a joy to have in our home during the holidays, and we wish we had more time to care for her."
