🚨🚨Have you been thinking about becoming a dog foster? Now is the time!!🚨🚨

We’re currently recruiting for foster volunteers who can provide care, attention, love, and space in their homes to dogs and puppies, for short- and long-term placement, for:

🐶Large adult dogs who need a short- or long-term stay in a foster home, to get a break from the shelter
🐶Weaned puppies under six months old who are undergoing medical treatment for illness
🐶Weaned healthy puppies under six months old
🐶Pregnant or nursing mom dogs with their puppies
🐶Bottle baby puppies

We especially need dog fosters who have no other pets!

UPDATE!!!! DOG HAS BEEN FOUND!!! SHE WAS IN THE WOODS OFF OF MAGIC LEAF. HAPPY ENDING!!!

If you live in the Newington Forest/Pohick Rd area one of our team members has lost her own dog. She was coming home from the vet after surgery and the dog sprinted out of the car. She was still under sedation. She took off across Pohick Rd to Magic Leaf Rd. and into the woods.

She is an 8 year old female yellow lab.

She was last seen wearing a cone, a pink collar and a pink leash.

Please reach out if you see her! Her owner is very concerned about her! She needs medication, water, and food. Thank you!!!!
