After class, 🐾 Sawyer fell asleep while his owner and trainer chatted about behavior and learning. Then a ::click:: happened to demonstrate an involuntary response to a successfully paired stimulus, ::click:: 🐾 always ready to engage, Sawyer demonstrated it beautifully. 😴🤑

Dakota is showing off the classic and extreme German Shepherd head tilt they offer when probably amused and curious. It’s a common in many puppies, and if you’re quick⚡️, you can capture this using a clicker or a marker -to reinforce and put this tilt on-cue 🐾😎

Lacking thumbs, puppies explore their world with their mouths and sharp puppy teeth. Combined with a Genetic Golden trait of desiring to “hold in mouth” and Golden puppies can become mouthy sharks during their painful teething months. This is the perfect time to work on training! (🐾At least Barnacle thinks so)

Duke likes to jump on people. But it turns out, he isn’t very committed to that conversation starter. Duke quickly caught the patterns of training with a marker-sound WHILE concurrently, his jumping was ignored. (Thus jumping became less effective & he stopped using it)
In one session, Duke’s family learned how eager and willing he was to engage in better habits at home and on walks. Thanks for making me look smart Duke 🐾😎
