💜🐾 Why Fostering Matters-Why YOU Matter 🐾💜

This is Lola. Just days ago, she was waiting with so many others for her chance. Today, she is safe in a foster HOME—on a blanket, surrounded by people committed to love her until her forever family finds her. 🫶

Here’s the truth: rescues & shelters everywhere are struggling. Adoptions are slow, kennels are full, and too many dogs are running out of time. The only reason Lola is safe tonight is because someone said “yes” to fostering.

👉 Fostering doesn’t just change a dog’s life, it saves it.
👉 Many rescues (including us!) welcome fosters even outside their immediate area, as long as you have a rescue-friendly vet to work with. We pay.
👉 If MSGBR isn’t local to you, please reach out to your nearby shelter or rescue. They all need foster homes more than ever.

Meet Deigo — the goofy, lovable pup who’s been searching for his very own Mystery Machine to ride off into the sunset with! 🚐💨

Like our pal Scooby-Doo, Deigo is full of heart, a little clueless with social cues, and totally down for a wild adventure. But he needs the right crew—specifically, a no-nonsense Velma of a dog like his foster sister Maggie, who keeps him grounded and out of trouble. 🧠🐶

Deigo adores Maggie—he listens to her, respects her boundaries, and follows her lead like a champ. But pair him with the wrong dog and… zoinks! 💥 His overly enthusiastic paws 'n' spit play style can turn things from fun to freak-out real fast. He’s not trying to start trouble—he just doesn’t know when to chill.

🏡 Deigo would thrive in a home with a confident, older dog like Maggie who can show him the ropes… or he’d be just as happy being your one and only mystery-solving sidekick.

ADOPTED!!!

Sadly one of our clients passed away and their dog needs to be rehomed ASAP or sadly will most likely be euthanized. The family cannot take her due to allergies.

*** The family is willing to pay Sheba's medical expenses for the duration of her life. In exchange, they wish for periodic updates and finally, some of Sheba's ashes to mix with their Dad's and scatter on the Appalachian trail where the two walked as Best friends before he passed 🙏🐾❤ ***

Sheba is sweet, loving, wants to chill with you or enjoy time outside watching the world go by. She does great on car rides. Enjoys walks. She has been an only pet and has been living by herself with the support of dog walkers since October when her mommy went into the hospital and never came home. Sheba was a rescue and already had a litter of puppies before her first year. Today at 9 years old she gets by with monthly injections of labrella for her right hip deterioration. In addition she is taking Gabapentin up to 3x a day, vitamin chews daily and is adding a med to protect the liver from all the medications.

She needs a new momma or daddy. Her mom was wheelchair bound her last few years and she adapted to a slower life. Sheba was treated like a queen! Her diet was changed from the farmers dog heated with cheese to Hills science in an attempt to slim her down some for that hip. Her favorite bully sticks and nightly frozen paws her mommy spoiled her with went away with her mommy. Our adoptable Pepper (aka Miss Spicy 🌶️) is a senior treasure waiting to be discovered.💫 Recently, she enjoyed a beautiful day at Mount Vernon with her foster family, which also includes TFP alum Shilo!🥰

Pepper absolutely loves meeting new people and is fantastic company on all sorts of outings, whether it's a stroll through a park or a relaxed afternoon at a winery or brewery.

While she enjoys leisurely walks, she's also eager for car rides and exploring new places, just like her recent adventure at Mt. Vernon! We're pretty sure she'd thrive as the center of attention in any social scene.

Pepper gets along wonderfully with both dogs 🐕 and cats, 🐈‍⬛ making her a versatile companion who can fit into a variety of homes.
