There’s some false information going around about these wonderful dogs, the Goldendoodle.

While many breeders will explain these dogs require low grooming maintenance, any groomer will argue that’s simply not true!

In fact they are one of the biggest and hardest dogs to groom. And one of the most EXPENSIVE!
A large doodle can run you $100-300 dollars depending on what you need done. They need regular grooming monthly too so that’s allot of money if you think about it.

Another Misunderstanding would be that you want to start grooming your doodle around 6 months. That’s just not ideal for any pet or groomer. You don’t want to wait until your dog is six or seven months old to bring them in for their first experience to professional grooming.

If you can find a mobile groomer, like myself, to come to your house, you can start grooming as early as 10 weeks.

Down below is a before and after picture of a sweet goldendoodle named Rica. Her mom called me as soon as she got my card in her hand. Rica is four months old and has a truck load full of energy. She has had two professional grooming sessions as of right now and is having amazing progress with her behavior in handling it.

We are half way thru the summer!!! ☀️
Kids will be going back to school soon. 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Fireworks and lake days can be so much fun but can bring on some unexpected grooming needs.
