🚨 MYTH BUSTER: Rescues Don’t Just Take Small Dogs! 🚨
Meet Cody 💔 — a young puppy with a broken leg. In just 2 days, only $45 has been donated toward his care. Why? Because there’s a sad truth no one wants to talk about…
👉 Small, “apartment-friendly” dogs are in higher demand.
👉 Large dogs, especially pit bull–type breeds, are overlooked.
👉 That means they sit in kennels for months with little to no help.
At OBAR, we only have 3 kennels for small dogs and 3 for large dogs. Every time a big dog stays stuck, hundreds of small dogs die in overcrowded shelters and on the streets with nowhere to go.
We HAVE taken in plenty of pit bulls and large breeds in our 10 months of rescue work 🐾… but moving them is one of the biggest challenges rescues face nationwide.
Instead of blaming rescues or shelter staff working day and night, we need to come together. 🙏
✨ Tell your family, friends, and neighbors:
✔️ Spay & neuter saves lives
✔️ Vaccines prevent suffering
✔️ Prevention is the ONLY way out of this crisis
🐾 Want to help Cody and others like him? Please donate, share, or adopt. Every action matters.
❤️ Together, we CAN make a difference.
🐶 Because large dogs matter too! 🐶
