Fish is a friendly, confident, and outgoing gal ready to join your family! At just under two years old, she is just the right mix of energetic and snuggly - and gets along well with nearly everyone. Fish is very affectionate and greets family and strangers with firm headbutts, demanding kisses and pets. She coexists well with other cats, but can be bossy around shy ones. Fish could be okay as a single cat, or with another confident and friendly kitty in the home.

She plays well with respectful children and loves adults, especially ones that bring her snacks! Fish has such a warm, loving personality that keeps her close to her humans, and is the perfect little shadow for chores and housework. Come visit her at Queen City Cat Lounge this week and be prepared for a boatload of sweetness - she’s the perfect catch! 🎣

Former stray Dewey is ready to enjoy all the perks that indoor life has to offer! He’s had a bit of a glow-up since he came into QCC’s care a few weeks ago - and is adjusting to his new life and routine.

Dewey is estimated to be between 2 to 4 years old, which makes easily puts him in the beginning of his prime years! He is learning all about cat things - treats, toys, and catnip - and is loving all of it.

He gets along well with other cats and loves to be pet and gently loved on by people. Sudden loud sounds and movements frighten Dewey and send him running for shelter; so with that in mind he would do best in a home with older children or teens. If this gentleman sounds like a good fit for your home, fill out an application on our website and we’ll schedule a time with his foster for you to meet.

Peter is a handsome and gentle 2yo tabby boy! This sweet guy is content to curl up at your feet or on your chest, purring away while he naps. While he enjoys finding a quiet, dark cozy spot to relax in, he’ll also cuddle up in bed underneath a blanket with you. Peter can be quite chatty, especially when it comes to wanting love and affection.

He loves to play with wand toys or plastic jingle balls, catching them in his mouth and running away with his "prey". Peter gets along with other cats well, as he is very polite, and would do best with another cat who is happy to play and won’t overshadow his quiet, affectionate personality. He would do well in a home with another nice cat, respectful children, or a calm dog.

Retired queen Helene is ready to snuggle her way into your heart and home! Rescued from the streets, this little 2-yo lady was found living with her first litter - while being heavily pregnant with her second! This sweetie immediately gravitated to her foster and within days popped out four beautiful kittens. Fortunately for Helene, this would be her last litter.

She is extremely affectionate towards people and gets along with other cats, as long as they don’t interrupt her dinner time! Helene is very food-motivated and likes to eat in private around other felines, even when it comes to snacks and treats. She will need an adopter who is understanding of that and helps create a sense of safety around food in her new home.

Helene is currently at Queen City Cat Lounge with her first litter of kittens - Rainbow, Kitten, and Surprise - waiting for her forever home! If you’re interested in this gorgeous girl, fill out an application on our website and stop by the lounge to visit!

Our hearts are with everyone affected by the devastating fires in California, and we want to recognize the incredible work being done by the Pasadena Humane.

During these challenging times, they are stepping up to support their community by providing shelter, care, and resources for displaced animals and their families. Their unwavering dedication is an inspiration to us all.

If you’re able, consider supporting their efforts—whether by donating, fostering (if you’re local), or spreading the word. Every bit helps make a difference for the animals and people impacted by these fires.

Stay safe, California. 💛

Eaton Fire Update: We have taken in over 100 animals overnight and are continuing to take in animals for emergency boarding. Due to the proximity of the evacuation zones, we are also making preparations to evacuate the shelter, if needed. At this time, all animals are safe and unharmed at the shelter.

We continue to accept animals for emergency boarding at our Animal Resource Center at 361 S. Raymond Avenue, Pasadena, 91105.

Large animals should be taken to the LA Equestrian Center, 480 Riverside Dr, Burbank, CA 91506.

We are currently coordinating with Cal Animals and ASPCA disaster response to mobilize more resources to assist with the situation.

To help, we ask that anyone who can safely foster a dog or a cat for at least one week to please come to the Pasadena Humane Foster Office or email [email protected]. Our greatest need is for large dog fosters. Please note that we do not have in-home history on most animals in our care and are unsure how they get along with other pets.

Little 4-month-old Leche is ready to meet her new pawrents and sibling(s)! She's the last of her litter to be adopted, but she's not giving up hope that the perfect family is out there. Leche is a bit shy and reserved around busy, loud environments, but in a peaceful atmosphere she shines the brightest. ✨

At Queen City Cats, we believe two kittens are better than one! We adopt our kittens in pairs unless their new home has another cat to support the kittens’ social-emotional growth. Leche would do well in a home with an older, outgoing feline sibling (or two) to show her just how awesome the indoor life is.

This sweet, downy girl can be visited at along with many other adoptable kitties! Fill out an application on our website or schedule a spot at the lounge to meet them.

Looking for kitten(s) to join your family? We’ve got you covered. Swipe through their bios and see if they’re a match for your lifestyle.

At Queen City Cats, we believe two kittens are better than one! We adopt our kittens in pairs unless their new home has another cat to support the kittens’ social-emotional growth. This applies as a general rule to all cats 6 months and younger - no exceptions! We will NOT approve applications for single kittens unless their adopter has another feline at home.

We’d like to highlight two “Spirit Cats” who are still waiting for their forever home: Maxwell and Dax. “What is a ‘Spirit Cat’?” you might ask. Spirit cats are incredibly shy around humans and usually need more time and patience to settle into their new home. They require a quiet, consistent home environment to thrive and an accommodating adopter who understands their timid nature.

“Spirit Cats” do not typically follow the 3-3-3 rule and may take years to acclimate to their new family - and for this reason are harder to place. Loud, unpredictable noises like children and dogs scare them. Consistency and predictability with their human companions is key to earn their trust. It’s even more rewarding for their new family to see the “Spirit Cat” blossom into the loving personality we know they have inside.

Although Maxwell and Dax were raised by doting, kind foster parents, these boys have grown up to be very independent kitties. Much like people, cats don’t always respond to socialization techniques like we expect. Despite their hesitance for human interaction, these two continue to surprise their foster and QCC with all sorts of progress.

If you’re interested in this duo of young “Spirit Cats”, fill out an application on our website to learn more about them.

Rainbow and Kitten are 6-month-old siblings looking for their forever home… as barn cats! The Barn Cat Program at Queen City Cats is designed for healthy, independent kitties who aren’t particularly social with people, but earn their keep through pest management.

Barn cats are working animals who are adopted specifically to help with rodent/pest control on a designated property. They prefer to keep to themselves and limit their interaction with humans - all business here!

All cats in this program come spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, and dewormed. Their new adopter is responsible for caring for them like any other pet - fresh food and water daily, monthly parasite prevention and regular vet checkups as needed.

If you are interested in a working cat or cats (they often come in pairs!) for your barn, stable, outbuilding, or store, please reach out!
