Don't be fooled. Those ticks are LOVING this weather! I just found a teeny tiny deer tick on me today. Keep yourself and your pets protected! They don't go away in the winters anymore, so make sure to check with your veterinarian about the best way to keep your pets safe year round.

100% of the profits from this collection will be donated to the Central Vermont Humane Society to aid in their flood relief efforts. CVHS is on the ground, searching for animals stranded by the floods, as well as taking in any pets from families who can no longer provide food and shelter due to flood damage. Together, we can ensure these pets are well looked after until they find a new place to call home.

Rescued a baby bunny on my walk this morning. It was alone sitting to the side of a trail, very cold. I used a soft bag, and gently scooped it up and warmed it in my hands while I walked. I was able to bring the bunny to a wildlife rehabber. Hoping little bun bun lives🙏❤️
(If you find wildlife, do not touch. I was very careful and used a barrier between the bunny and my skin. Animals carry diseseas and some, like rabies, are deadly to humans. I am also rabies vaccinated and used caution, even with the cuteness factor and love of animals, it’s a must.)

Mud season is here, and so are those awful ticks!!!! (not that the ticks ever go away here in the winter anymore- not cold enough!) Found this tick today on my wall, but clearly came off of the dog or I (ughhhhh!) Make sure your pets are protected! Check with your veterinarian for the latest preventative recommendations.

These walk-in clinics are designed to provide low-income residents access to basic preventative services for their animals: $10 rabies vaccination, $15 other vaccinations, and $25 microchipping (including chip registration). Please take this survey!! Dog owners really need an off leash area for our dogs to exercise them that is not an enclosed dirt field, yet people know dogs are off leash and people can choose to be on those trails or not. 🐾🐾🐾

Pets should be inside in this weather! (and don't start with all the stories about how much your Husky Malamute St Bernard Pyrenees, etc loves the cold. That's not what we are posting about!) MOST breeds are not equipped to be out in Vermont winters, and certainly not in the arctic blast we are getting! So be humane, bring them inside! (By the way, it's state law. Check out Vermont Statutes: Title 13, Chapter 8, subsection 365 (shelter of animals), and you'll see lots of information to provide clarity) What better way to stay warm yourself, than snuggling with your pet?!
