Say hello to Duke!! This handsome shepherd is going to be here with me for a few weeks to work on a handful of goals!

Nail trims have become a traumatic event for him, so I will be working on desensitizing him to his feet being handled. He is also needing lots of help with pulling on leash and learning how to settle in the home.

I hope everyone has been doing well!! It has been a while since I posted here since my main focus was SOPK9T. I will be starting to post here more frequently as I have decided to start taking on 1-2 training dogs per month.

Stay safe this Thanksgiving!

Today for we thought it would be helpful to give everyone a reminder of what dogs can and cannot indulge in during dinner! Of course, we’ve probably all snuck our dogs some mashed potatoes or ham, but we don’t want to give them too much due to the high fat and sodium content. Things like desserts, we worry about the xylitol. Dog should never have raw dough, the yeast continues to convert the sugar into carbon dioxide and alcohol in the dogs stomach, which is very dangerous!

If you’re worried your dog got into something potentially harmful, having the Pet Poison Helpline or your local 24 hour emergency vet’s number readily available is a great idea!

🎃In honor of Halloween tomorrow: Gracie’s all time favorite trick is wave aka “Say Hi!” She’ll say hi to anybody with a treat!! 🍬

I love working on tricks to help mentally stimulate my dogs and build confidence!

We work on waving at the vets office to create positive associations, pet friendly stores and restaurants and anywhere we see people!! 👋

🔆Appa & Hodge🔆

These two boys are both doing fantastic during their board & train’s! Appa is the silver lab and Hodge is the golden retriever!

Appa is wearing a cooling vest from XDOG to help keep him cool during our walks and park trips throughout the day and he sure looks handsome in orange🧡
