-Without permanent identification, it is almost impossible to identify lost animals and reunite them with their families. Approximately 83% of cats and 39% of dogs cannot be traced and thousands of stray animals are taken to shelters annually.

-Microchip registration will enable any participating veterinarian, animal control agency or rescue group to identify the lost animal in their care and notify guardians.

Facts about Heartworm:

-Heartworm is spread by mosquitoes. 🦟
-Heartworm preventives need to be given on time, every month to be effective.
-The American Heartworm Society estimates that more than a million dogs in the U.S. have heartworm disease.
-Heartworm disease can be fatal.
-Cats and ferrets can also get heartworm disease. 🐈‍⬛
-Heartworm preventives are available only by prescription from veterinarians. 👩‍⚕️

Introducing our Thanksgiving Pet food drive here at Chuckanut Valley Vet! We are so thankful for all of our clients, employees and of course our fur babies..we want to share that with families that are in need this holiday season. Please drop off any bags or cans of pet food you may have and we will donate these to the Concrete food bank. We will be running this food drive through 11/22/23. Thank you in advance for your participation!

Our Story

We are open 7 days a week with extended hours, for routine or ill pet appointments, to better serve your needs. Hospitalized patients are monitored overnight by our caring staff and we are available 24/7 to take your phone calls. We provide both small and large animal complete veterinary care, as well as farm calls. We also provide doggie daycare and boarding as well as cat boarding. We have expert groomers who are here to provide high quality grooming to your four legged family members. We welcome new clients to stop in and get to know us if you’re looking for a vet clinic. Your pets are our life and we take that responsibility very seriously.
