Learned how to track using nature, the sun, moon, and stars. And later an Engineers Compass, but was spoiled when using topo maps to explore. And when I got access to the Vermont Atlas & Gazetteer, I could get there from here. Though the landscape has changed since 2003, in many places with inaccurate mapping and poor internet this old copy will get you here. And sometimes you need to keep that part of the animal brain going to read the land around you, traveling by hand, foot, smell, sight, sound,.if possible, like the ancestors.
