Wrapped up the week at Hidden Pines HRC. Had a great time at our local club and seeing all the friends and clients who come from all over to watch, hangout and see their dogs. “Ace” picked up another pass in Seasoned leaving him one more to go for his HR title. Then “Koehn” after going 2/2 at Flatlander HRC in season picked up his HR title Saturday and then he passed his first Finished test Sunday going 2/2 at Hidden Pines! Very thankful for all the judges, club members and support from everyone involved! Thank you! We can’t do it without y’all!

Koehn and Lily had a good last couple days running at the Flatlander HRC midweek. Collectively going 4/4 in Seasoned. Lily was able to pickup her title as well making her an HR now! Thanks to FLK for hosting and the judges for some great setups and good time! Now onto Cheyenne at our home club Hidden Pines HRC for this weekend.

So the day we were taking some photos of the dogs on a water mark, “Yadi” decided to avoid going for the hand thrown mark and dived deep into some tall cattails. Needless to say, can’t blame the dogs nose!! Game and Fish was notified just out of respect but the bird had been dead from possible power line above for some time. Moral of this, sometimes, just gotta trust the dog!

Not many advanced dogs around here, but here’s a setup for our started to season level dogs we ran yesterday on Carla’s place. Black arrows are the marks. Left bird thrown first (landing in water off small point) and then the right bird is landing on the beach along the shore.(Don’t hunt wide and back side the gun). Red is a blind that goes back into a channel on backside of the pond. White arrow is showing the wind 14-20 mph out of the west.

Spent the weekend at Platte Valley HRC and had a great time! Weather was less than ideal with rain showers and cooler temps, wind but the dogs did good! We definitely got to see what needs worked on and where we can grow with this crew. Newly titled HRCH Brooks is pictured with the ribbons. Picking up passes though also include Ace, Koehn, Lily, Chief and Theno. Thanks to the club and judges!
