Inspired Spine

Inspired Spine Inspired Spine is a total spine care provider committed to treating back and neck pain using advanced, minimally invasive procedures.

Inspired Spine has worked to develop technologies and procedures that not only address the patient’s original concern of back pain, but also address the possible economic concern of reduced income during a recovery period. Inspired Spine procedures reduce the length of spinal surgical procedures. Traditional spinal surgery addressing one disk can take about 4 hours. You can expect to be in the hos

pital for up to 5 days, and there will be a doctor recommendation for 3 months post-surgical recuperation. In contrast, the same diagnosis of a herniated one level spinal disk with an Inspired Spine procedure will have your surgical time be 45 minutes. You will be home sleeping in your own bed the same day the surgery took place, and you will be asked to engage in “no sweat” activities for 2-3 weeks. No sweat activities is as it means. You can enjoy walks, go out for dinner, and sit at your desk working on the computer. Activities such as running, cutting wood, or snowmobiling would be discouraged. However, sitting in an ice fishing house, walking the dog, or attending business meeting are all completely acceptable. Of course a patient’s health pre-surgery has much to do with determining what activities would be best for them, and they and their doctor will discuss post-surgery activities on a case by case basis.

Dr. Hamid Abbasi is seen here holding a bovie while setting up the cautery to prepare the sterile field before beginning a minimally invasive spine surgery. This crucial step ensures that the surgical area is completely sterile, reducing the risk of infection and promoting optimal patient safety.

The bovie, a surgical tool used for cauterizing tissue, plays a key role in controlling bleeding and preparing the area for precise surgical work. By meticulously preparing the sterile field, Dr. Abbasi ensures a clean, safe environment for the minimally invasive procedure.

Minimally invasive spine surgery is known for its benefits, including:
✅ Smaller incisions.
✅ Reduced blood loss.
✅ Faster recovery times.
✅ Minimal impact on surrounding tissues.

This attention to detail and dedication to patient safety is why Dr. Abbasi is trusted by thousands of patients. His expertise and care ensure that every procedure is as efficient and effective as possible.

Dr. Abbasi is preforming a revision surgery using OLLIF (Oblique Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion) with reinstrumentation to address a patient's ongoing spinal issues.

This procedure involved carefully removing the existing rod and replacing it with a longer one to ensure the proper connection of all hardware components. OLLIF offers a minimally invasive approach, reducing recovery time and improving outcomes compared to traditional methods.

The sacroiliac (SI) joint is a small but crucial part of the spine that connects the pelvis to the lower spine. While it plays a key role in absorbing shock and enabling movement, SI joint dysfunction is often misdiagnosed as other conditions like herniated discs or sciatica due to overlapping symptoms. This can lead to years of unresolved pain and frustration.

Once the correct diagnosis is made, minimally invasive procedures such as SI joint fusion can provide significant relief. Patients often experience reduced pain within a day to a couple weeks, transforming their quality of life.

Dr. Abbasi is preparing to begin an SI joint (sacroiliac joint) fusion, a highly effective procedure for individuals suffering from chronic lower back, hip, or leg pain caused by SI joint dysfunction.

The sacroiliac joint connects the spine to the pelvis and plays a vital role in supporting body weight and movement. When this joint becomes unstable or inflamed, it can lead to debilitating pain that is often misdiagnosed.

SI joint fusion stabilizes the joint using minimally invasive techniques, providing relief from pain and restoring mobility within days or weeks.

Dr. Abbasi is performing a spinal cord stimulator battery removal, using cautery to carefully dissect down to the device.

A spinal cord stimulator (SCS) is a medical device implanted in the spine to help manage chronic pain by delivering electrical pulses to the spinal cord, interrupting pain signals before they reach the brain.

The device is powered by a battery, which, over time, may need to be replaced.

In this procedure, Dr. Abbasi ensures that the battery is safely and precisely removed, allowing patients to continue their journey to pain relief and improved quality of life.

A collapsed disc occurs when spinal discs lose height due to degeneration, aging, or injury. This condition often results from spinal arthritis, degenerative disc disease, or, in some cases, herniated discs.

While some individuals may not experience immediate symptoms, others might suffer from radiating back pain, tingling, numbness, or mobility issues, especially if the condition affects nearby spinal nerves.

We specialize in diagnosing and treating collapsed discs to alleviate pain and restore mobility.
