Mila and Derrick had a lovely early morning walk today. The small animals were active and Mila did a wonderful job learning how to leave them and pass without pulling. What a great success to start the day!

For my fellow fall fanatics, the first day of August means it's time to start longing for changing leaves, apple cider, and Halloween. If that sounds like you- keep reading! I am excited to announce that we are combining forces with My Furbaby's Resort, LLC to give you the ultimate DOG FRIENDLY Halloween event!

Saturday, October 19th from 1-6 pm we will have a day full of dog fun to get you in the Howl-o-ween spirit. Costume contests, talent shows, pet pictures, animal themed vendors, food, and more!!

Start planning costumes now, the best dressed doggies will bring home prizes that will have the neighborhood dogs howling with jealousy!

Happy Saturday Trick 4 Treaters!

We are excited to announce that we are officially offering 3 levels of 100% positive reinforcement board and train packages. Dogs will be boarded and cared for at My Furbaby's Resort, LLC . A trainer from Trick 4 Treat Training will be there 5 days a week to teach your dog. Your dog can stay for 2, 4, or 6 weeks of individualized training depending on the level of training you would like. Each plan comes with in home sessions following the program to ensure you understand everything your dog learned.

A typical training day looks like this:
- 4 30-minute training sessions
- 2 walks/public outings
- Immersive home environment training
- Supervised puppy playtime
- Participation in group training courses

Why choose board and train?
- Personalized and accelerated lesson plans are designed fit your training goals and lifestyle.
- Immersive home environment training teaches your dog how to behave all of the time, not just when you have a leash and a handful of treats.
- Some behaviors are too hard to handle on your own, and that is okay! If your dog is too strong, stubborn, or loud, there is nothing wrong with wanting a little extra help.
- It's summer! It is the perfect time to plan a trip while your dog is off at boarding school. How nice would it be to come home from vacation to a well trained dog?

Are you ready to take the leap into Positive Reinforcement Dog Training? Start by booking an evaluation/meet and greet with a Trick 4 Treat Trainer.

In-Home Evaluation: $25 to book, 1 hr duration. The $25 fee will be applied to any sessions or packages purchased at the evaluation

On- Site Evaluation: FREE 30 minute evaluation at My Furbaby's Resort, LLC

Why book an evaluation?
- Your dog must be evaluated by a trainer before any lessons begin.
- Meeting with a trainer before lessons start will help us design your personalized lesson plans and understand your training goals.
- Your trainer will have an opportunity to interact with your dog. This helps us understand them better so we do not have to waste any session time figuring out how they operate.
- This is the best way for us to ensure that no dogs will be put into the wrong environment. Your trainer will recommend what type of training they think will be best suited for you and your dog.
- You will get to meet your trainer before making any training commitments and have all of your questions answered.

If you are interested in private training somewhere other than your home, I am now available for lessons at My Furbaby's Resort, LLC , On-Site Private Training is a one hour private training session held at My Furbaby’s Resort or a public facility (park, pet friendly store, etc.) This offers personalized training tailored for your dog's specific needs while getting socialized with new people and locations.

Why choose On-Site Private Training?
- Private sessions get personalized lesson plans based on what you and your dog want to work on the most!
- More diversity, socialization, and cost effective than an in-home training session

GROUP CLASS IS BACK IN SESSION!

Hey there Trick 4 Treaters, we are excited to announce our upcoming full positive reinforcement group training classes! Partnering with My Furbaby's Resort, LLC and their new dog training/boarding facility, we can now offer all types of training!

All group training courses are 1 hour long and run for 5 consecutive weeks. There is an optional 6th week for makeups or additional practice. The following group training courses are offered:
-Puppy Class: Basic cues and leash walking for dogs 10 weeks - 5 months
Level 1 Class: Basic cues and leash walking for dogs 5 months and older
-Level 2 Class: Intermediate level cues for dogs who have completed Puppy, Level 1, or have a similar skill level
-Level 3 Class: Canine Good Citizen preparation and advanced cues for dogs who have completed Level 2 or have a similar skill level

Available for booking:
-Puppy Class: Saturdays at 2 pm starting July 13th
-Puppy Class: Wednesdays at 6:30 pm starting July 17th
-Level 1 Class: Saturdays at 3:30 pm starting July 13th

Why choose group training?
It's a great way to see detailed steps on how to train each command, as well as learning to understand and communicate with your dog. Group training also helps with socialization to dogs, people, environments, and distractions.
We offer multiple levels of group classes to ensure you are at the same skill level as other pups and peers. As a group, we will cover simple step by step instructions for each cue. You will also receive a training guide booklet that covers each cue we worked on that week to help you practice at home. Once we have covered that day's lesson, it's supervised puppy play time! Group training provides a well rounded experience for your dog at an affordable cost.

Hello dog lovers- Meet Duke!

Duke is a 4 year old Bull Terrier who came to stay with us about a month ago as a foster. We are happy to announce that he is ready for his forever home!

Duke has spent his whole life in a home that didn’t have time for or understand him. We were told that he would spend around 20 hours a day in his crate. When we first met Duke, he was dirty, covered in bed sores, and triggered by things that reminded him of his abusive past.

Now, through some TLC and positive reinforcement training, Duke learned to deal with those triggers. His bed sores have also healed up tremendously with only a few still lingering around. He has decided to show us his awesome and spunky personality, one thing I can guarantee is you will always be entertained with Duke by your side!

What Duke needs for his forever home:
> A lot of love and attention. He has gone 4 years without it and needs a family that can give him the love he deserves.
>Lots of walks!
> Preferably no other animals, Duke does fine with cats and dogs under supervision. He has never had the opportunity to meet them before, so he can come on too strong for some animals.
>Kids are a bonus! Duke comes from a home with young children.
>Someone with an active lifestyle. Duke is very energetic and will do best with someone who can exercise him and train him.

In just the month we have had him, Duke has learned sit, down, wait, focus, leave it, and jump! He loves playing toss the treat, as he’s an incredible catcher!
