EDWARD IS STILL WAITING! πΎπ€
Edward has all the odds stacked against him. He has to be the only animal in the home, heβs a black pittie (black dogs are often overlooked when it comes to adoption, also known as Black Dog Syndrome), and heβs not the kind of dog that will make an instant connection with a potential adopter. He will take time to relax, build trust, and finally understand what safety and security means. Heβs going to need a committed, patient, special human, and we know that person is out there somewhereβ¦ we just need some help finding them! πΊοΈπΎ
This boy has had a rough life so far. When he arrived at the shelter, he was in very poor physical condition. While he does look better now, his body is littered with scars. He was attacked by other dogs on more than one occasion before ending up at the shelter, and to be honest, weβre not sure if heβs ever actually been inside a home before. This sweet little guy also has some vision and hearing issues, making shelter life even scarier for him. He is on constant alert and is extremely stressed and uncomfortable here; he needs a home as soon as possible.
Heβs around 4-5 years old and 35 pounds. Due to past trauma, he would prefer to be the only animal in the home (no other dogs or cats). We suggest older children who will respect his space and give him plenty of time to learn how to be a βnormalβ dog. β€οΈβπ©Ή
