A long, hard working, fun and rewarding weekend at the World Equestrian Center - Ocala where gaited horses from all over the country came together and showed their talents.

Its absolutely amazing what you can learn even when you're old.. Samson was at Peterson Smith Equine Hospital + Complete Care repro center to get collected and frozen for European and American family.. he's now one of the few USA options easily available to Europe and the UK.

Take a look at this wall of numbers, go down the rabbit hole on the SBS website and learn about each one of them and what they tell you about the chances you can have a successful breeding from 3000 miles away.

For the record, Samson's numbers are borderline but improving with each collection, but I'll let you draw your own conclusions..

A quick update on Samson's Progress at Peterson Smith.. He's doing well, it looks like they've finally found an extender that works well for him and theyre prepping some tests before collecting him again..

This means that Toby's Samson will be available to European (and hopefully UK) mares in the future.. I watch Rockies over in europe all the time and love the quality of the horses theyre raising.. I'm hoping Samson and I can be a part of that future going forward as well..

Just started unpacking the Tees for the Paso show in May.. all you have to do is come visit, follow the page and the Tee (if we still have your size) is yours.
If you see anyone in a red tee, they're working for the barn, so pester them and demand your freebies

Ohh, there's some Yeti mugs in there with the barn logo, one free with every foal in 2025/2026 just in case you see anyone walking around with one..

Just an update on the Dolan Ranch family:
Latte is confirmed in foal, about 30 days along
BB is confirmed in foal, about 60 days along and doing well
Layla should be coming in to heat next week
Camille is still the problem child and has not come in to heat yet, but we live in hope

Well, thats a wrap for 2025, the last foal of the year was just delivered by RVF's Layla, healthy and hit all the milestones easily.. I'll leave the gender a secret until I get a chance to inform the god mother who's still fast asleep.

The Dolan Ranch has received approval for its Florida brand.. In the future we will be freeze branding our horses, mostly for security and hurricane protection.. Finding a lost horse with a brand is so much easier, even than a chip.

How about some updates on the babies...
Both are doing fine, Latte's still lame from her foot injury and she'll have to wait to breed to samson for a while yet
The babies have started playing together now theyre a month or more old and this is giving their moms a break from babysitting, which they both appreciate
Layla (RVF's Layla) is due in another couple of months, but pregnancy has been good for her, she's become quite the sweetheart in the last few months.

I'm hoping 2025 is a nice quiet year from a breeding standpoint, but I'm looking to send both foals to the May show at the World Equestrian Center - Ocala, so trailer training will start in the new year.
