This week is National Veterinary Technician week. We want to thank these amazing people we have the honor of working with. Your love, kindness and dedication to your patients is unmeasurable. Many people don’t know all the amazing things veterinary technicians do. Here are just a few of those things: To the doctors and their patients, Veterinary technicians are multi-tasking heroes. In the hospital, veterinary technicians assist the veterinarians with everything from routine exams to, blood draws, administering medications, to all aspects of emergency medical care. They assist doctors in surgery with anesthesia, the monitoring of patients, dental care and more. They are laboratory technicians collecting and running a multitude of lab tests. In addition to all of that, they are busy admitting patients, caring for their in hospital patients, taking x-rays, filling prescriptions, and answering client questions. They are phlebotomists and catheter placing ninjas. In addition to their work in the hospital, many technicians volunteer at local animal shelters and are involved with multiple rescues, advocating for those that have no voice. But most importantly, they are the ones helping care for and comfort your pets when you cannot be there. They are incredible people. Please help us in recognizing and thanking them for all all they do for the care and well-being of all animals. With love and appreciation. ❤️

Butler Veterinary Hospital opened in 2011. Our commitment is to provide the best in medical and surgical care to our patients, with compassion and clear communication with our clients. To do this, our appointments are scheduled for 30 minutes, so we have the adequate time needed to listen to our clients concerns, take detailed histories, perform the most thorough of exams, discuss the doctor’s findings, recommendations and treatment plan options, so our owner’s have the time and information they need to make the best decision for their family members. The hospital is equipped with the latest technology, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, a state-of-the-art surgical suite, specialists that come when needed and much more.
