Had to go and see this beautiful little queen this morning 😍🩷

The wind just would not let up so I didn’t get to spend too much time with her but she let me rub all over her and scratch her head and under her chin.

Shes so thick across her back and her hips and she’s all filled out from mama’s milk. I just hate that she was born right before the wet and cold snap 🙄

Wh**ey loves to test her calves against bad weather straight out of the gate 🫣

I’m off work all next week, so hopefully we’ll have a few pretty days and I can spend more time with her and get more pictures. 🙂

I’m through the roof excited about this one!!! 😍

Wh**ey really outdid herself this year gave us everything we had hoped for and more. This gorgeous baby girl is a full genetic sibling to our Panda girl, and a half sibling to our Chunky Skunky 😍

Years ago, I was honestly afraid we’d lose this line of females, as Wh**ey was notorious for only have bull calves. She only had 1 heifer calf prior to these heifers and that calf just didn’t mature like we’d thought she would.

Fast forward to now, and we have 3 beautiful heifers.

We have dubbed this little girl, “Waffles.” And it’s so fitting. She’s not exactly red, or yellow, or even orange. My mama says she looks like a Golden Waffle with cool whip dabbed all over her LOL

I don’t know what’s next for Wh**ey, but she’s looking so good in her old age. She’s not showing any ribs and her footing is still sound. Yes her udder is large, but we can manage that.

Only 1 more baby to go and 2024 calving will be over.

Talk about a pretty pair!! 😍

This is my Flower girl - A dream that was made a reality when Towerview Farm Herefords decided to part with her and I got to bring her home to Tennessee.

And look at Turtle 💜 She’s growing really good and just like her siblings before her; She’s her mama’s shadow.

Only time will tell if she sticks around, but for now we’re really liking how she’s coming along.

And #1803 Lily had her baby yesterday morning. 😍

Lily has produced 3 heifers and 2 bull calves previous to this baby, so we were over the moon to see that this baby is…. a HEIFER 😍

Now just to watch her grow 😉

And this little daredevil 😉 You gotta be just lucky enough to catch her standing still because ever since she was born, it’s been like a nascar race for her it seems! 😅

Mama Skunk and baby Sprinkles make quite the pair. Skunk is so protective over her baby girl and she’s making such an amazing mama.

We’re watching Skunk as it’s looking like she’s developing ringworm 😮‍💨 but other than that, everyone is doing amazing!

I love seeing Amelia with her own babies after we lost her mama. She’s grown into a really nice cow and her baby last year grew off really well so hopefully this baby will do the same. 🙂

We welcomed another new baby yesterday morning 😍

#2216 Skunk had her Circuit Breaker baby and it’s a baby girl!🩷

Mama and baby spent yesterday and the better part of today together in the barn. Skunk was a bit nervous about having a little one to look after, but she’s got the hang of it now.

We turned them out this evening and Skunk has stayed right beside baby girl.

We’re calling her “Sprinkles” and she’s got the white markings on her belly and teats just like her mama.

We’ll get better pics in the next few days. 🙂

And now for a “proud dad” moment 😀

#2207 Miracle; yes my miracle baby.

Miracle had this beautiful baby girl this morning, all on her own. She has already been dubbed “Miracle’s Promise” and mama is doing an absolutely amazing job with her. We sold Miracle’s dam Sephora this year, so seeing a granddaughter from her is so wonderful.

I’m excited to watch this baby grow.

And check out this fancy youngin’ 😍

Miss Panda is just a weanling, but ain’t she incredible? She belongs to my mama and she’s a maternal sister to #2116 Skunk, and man can you tell it when they’re together! They are built just alike and the chrome is so pretty. I believe we are planning to breed her to our neighbors registered Black Hereford bull in May/June.

And just a special note; Wh**ey is carrying a full sibling!!! Praying it’s another heifer 😍

One “old” lady that stuck around is Miss Lily #1803.

It’s crazy to look back on this cow and remember that when she was a young calf, and even before she was weaned, we didn’t plan to keep her. But as she grew, her performance was incredible. She weighed twice what the calves in her age range did, and she made the cut. Fast forward, and here she is, due to calve soon with her 5th baby. 🙂

Another young lady who’s looking mighty uncomfortable as she’s super super pregnant!

#2216 Skunk is an A.I. daughter sired by SAV Territory 7225 and she is out of our oldest cow, Wh**ey, who is from one of the original cows grandpa purchased back in the late 90’s. She is pretty important to myself and my mama, as well as her little sister Panda.

Skunk is due to calve 12/9/2024 but I don’t think she’s gonna make it to her due date. She’s bred to SAV Circuit Breaker 7136, who we have also used in the past so this should be a neat, stout made calf if we played our cards right.

One of our young ladies, #2115 Paige.

Paige is a daughter of our old herd bull, #1608 Providence and her dam was a big commercial cow we called Maggie.

Paige is bred to calve 12/29/2024 to SS Endeavor V65

This is her second calf and we’re hoping for a heifer. We used Endeavor a few years ago and got 2 really nice calves out of him, so hopefully paired with Paige; This calf will be a knockout.

I want to apologize for what seems like such a long absence from posting any updates to the page. It’s been a long and crazy year for our family, with many changes that were both chaotic and necessary at the same time.

It seems like we are slowly getting back on track and life is evening itself out, one day at a time.

Not much has happened on the farm, aside from us thinning down the herd quite a bit. We do have a bunch of our young females still around, with a handful of mature girls, but everyone else has been sold for one reason or another.

As you all know when raising cattle, sometimes thinning the herd is necessary in order to retain new bloodlines while building off certain females.

We have stepped out of the registered side of the Angus breed, but we will still be using semen from registered bulls as well as incorporating other breeds like Hereford into the herd.

Fall calving is in full swing for us as well. We have 5 calves on the ground as of this morning 🙂 and we are expecting at least 6 more I believe. Like I said, the numbers have dropped.

I am grateful for those that still follow us and though the updates are far between, we are still here.

And look at our beautiful Panda girl 😍 She’s getting SO BIG 😁😍

Our Story

Welcome to G&A Registered Angus. We are a small-scale cattle operation, located in Northeast Tennessee, focused on producing both registered and commercial seedstock. We currently run 30+ head of cattle, including our main herd sires, mature cows, bred and yearling heifers, and young calves. We began our journey with registered Angus cattle in December of 2014, and since then have hit many bumps in our road, but we are always pushing forward and looking to better both ourselves, as well as our operation. We have breeding age bulls available at this time. Please contact myself, Andrew Seal, or my grandfather, George Blevins, if you have nay questions. We love to talk cattle!
