12/21/2024: Another spay/neuter clinic is in the books, and 39 cats are back with their families, safe in shelters or with their rescuers. Today we spayed 24 female cats and 15 male cats. Gosh, we wish we could someday have no feline clients to 'fix'.

This is Ray. Ray did not get neutered today. He was neutered at one of our clinics in 2012. It was too busy at our "half day clinic" (from 8:00 to 3:00) to be fooling around taking pictures so we substituted this photo. Today, we spayed 17 female cats and seven male cats. Never enough time or energy, always too many cats!

11/15/2024: There might just be a small innocent smile on this handsome cat's face. He was neutered at today's spay/neuter clinic. A total of 40 cats, (with 19 female and 21 males) going out in the world free of worries. This big boy (16 pounds) is polydactyl and available for adoption at our local shelter. We helped shelter cats, strays, abandoned, and rescue cats in addition to very much loved kitties.

2024: We were once again a part of Treat Street at the World Museum of Mining handing out candy, and cat and dog treats from 1:00 to 4:00. We partnered with Thrive - A Health Food Store for Pets on Amherst Ave who provided the treats and Robin. Highlands Veterinary also shared our table and Jacki! Lots of folks were amazed that Fido and Fluffy were included in their bag of goodies.

10/26/2024: Today, we spayed 27 female cats and neutered 20 male cats. An awesome day with several litters of kittens, ... and their male and female cat parents, fixed. We don't exactly do these clinics for 'fun', but we do feel good about giving these felines and their human families a better quality of life. One of us was not amused however.

10/13/2024: Today we spayed 19 female cats and 15 male cats at our clinic. This little girl was a bit too underweight to be spayed but we had fun cuddling her.

10/06/2024: In Butte, by Kennedy School. As the old saying goes, "When you allow your pets to breed, guess who pays?"

09/30/2024: Today's clinic totals: 47 cats 'fixed' including 26 females and 21 males. Had a couple of kitties previously spayed unbeknownst by their new owners. That's OK, it is a pleasant surprise. We even had drop-in guests for a nice surprise too.

09/13/2024: Friday the thirteenth was a lucky day for these kittens sleeping off the anesthesia after being spayed. A total of 34 cats were 'fixed' at our clinic including 15 males and 19 females. We had a great day with wonderful folks helping us from cleaning surgical instruments, autoclaving, pre-op for surgeries, surgeries, vaccines, paper work, making lunch, waking cats, and everyone's favorite - cleaning up! Ugh. It's always something....

08/20/2024: Today our small clinic was dedicated to spaying/neutering 16 kittens for the the Butte-Silver Bow, Chelsea Bailey Animal Shelter (oh, and one very vocal kitty from Pintler Pets). Now these kitties can go out into the world and have no worries about adding to number of kitties waiting for adoptive homes at our shelters.

Butte's Spay/Neuter Task Force has been so fortunate to have the best veterinarian techs work with us. Alyssa Hight we will miss you!! Have fun on your new adventure to California with your hubby. We are sad to see you go but are so excited for your next move. You’ve always put the animals' needs first and took very good care of everyone that came through the door. You always had their best interest at heart, and that’s what we love and will miss.

Butte Spay/Neuter Task Force & Remember to Rescue will be at Butte's Murdoch's August 17 and 18 for a meet and greet of adoptable kittens and cats. Adoption applications available the day of the event or prior, available on our petfinder.com page and on BSNTF webpage.
