Saving Furry Friends,Inc We have been rescuing animals since 1994 & officially founded in 2003. We are a 501 c3 dedicated to the rescue of senior/disabled pets.

Over the years our rescue has taken in and rehomed over 3000 animals and while we will continue our mission it will be at a much much slower pace. This has upset some people and for that we are truly sorry however it is time for us to slow down and let the younger rescuers take the reigns. It is time for us to balance life,work and rescue. thanks for your support

urry Friends, is both a rescue and sanctuary, We are dedicated to saving shelter dogs (and cats) whose time has run out as well as senior horses, donkeys, pigs and goats. Currently we have an average of 200 animals per year coming to us from area shelters. Our adoptable animals are mainly placed into one of our foster homes, while the older/disabled animals reside here at the rescue. We rescue and care for abandoned and abused pets and strive to find loving forever homes where they can thrive. Many of the companion animals that we rescue are literally minutes from death. They may be strays, owner surrenders, abuse cases, or have medical problems but the one thing they all have in common is that they are society's throw-a ways and without rescue, they have no chance! As a sanctuary, we provide long-term love and care to animals deemed unadoptable; either because of age, medical issues or behavioral issues. They are our Sanctuary Residents. While providing care for pets and finding forever homes for them is our main focus, we are also committed to informing the public about the importance of spaying/neutering their pets, thus reducing the number of unwanted animals that end up in already over crowded shelters.

Our to do list is getting longer by the day.
We need a little help from our friends. We have 3 dogs that need to be spayed (Belle,Dottie and Abby) as well as Hailey also needs to be seen by our veterinarian for probable CHF.
When the hurricane came through it knocked down several trees,including one that literally put a hole in the roof of our building that we use for storing dog cat,horse and goat food,and othe supplies for the animals, also damaged were 2 kennels that now need to be replaced.
The price of hay has gone up as so many farmers lost entire fields of hay as the flood waters rose coupled with the fact that the growing season is now over so the farms that were not damage had already done their last cut for the season.

URGENT!! please everyone meet miracle a 15-year-old rat terrier mix that was found as a stray, If this baby doesn’t break your heart, I don’t know what will I’m not sure of the circumstances on why a 15-year-old in this shape would be roaming outside and no one come looking for him.
So please share and if you have room and a place for this baby delays head for whatever time he has left, that would be amazing. He is a medical adoption please re-below what Shelter had to say about him. The shelter is open today until four. we would love for him to have a home today and not stay in the shelter any longer.

A142941 Miracle - Medical Adoption (Due To Age)

Miracle has one wish this Christmas, and that wish is to have his very own family to open presents with. He is approximately 15 years young, and is going to need a lot of TLC, but he is more than willing to trade an enormous amount of love and snuggles. He can't see very well, can't hear very well, and is arthritic, but he is still a spry little guy with some pep in his step. Miracle is available now, and is patiently waiting for a best friend friend who is ready to spoil him with all the love he deserves. Whether it's a few years, a few months, or even a few weeks, he should not have to spend that time alone in a shelter. His time should be spent snuggled up in warm blankets, next to his person, knowing what true love is.

"Why?" I asked.
"Because Jesus died for the sins of people, not animals," he answered.
"You're correct," I responded. "Animals never committed sin."
Their connection with God was never broken.
They never required redemption, which is why they've been able to redeem so many of us.
Just saying!
