We have been rescuing animals since 1994 & officially founded in 2003. We are a 501 c3 dedicated to the rescue of senior/disabled pets.

Over the years our rescue has taken in and rehomed over 3000 animals and while we will continue our mission it will be at a much much slower pace. This has upset some people and for that we are truly sorry however it is time for us to slow down and let the younger rescuers take the reigns. It is time for us to balance life,work and rescue. thanks for your support

urry Friends, is both a rescue and sanctuary, We are dedicated to saving shelter dogs (and cats) whose time has run out as well as senior horses, donkeys, pigs and goats. Currently we have an average of 200 animals per year coming to us from area shelters. Our adoptable animals are mainly placed into one of our foster homes, while the older/disabled animals reside here at the rescue. We rescue and care for abandoned and abused pets and strive to find loving forever homes where they can thrive. Many of the companion animals that we rescue are literally minutes from death. They may be strays, owner surrenders, abuse cases, or have medical problems but the one thing they all have in common is that they are society's throw-a ways and without rescue, they have no chance! As a sanctuary, we provide long-term love and care to animals deemed unadoptable; either because of age, medical issues or behavioral issues. They are our Sanctuary Residents. While providing care for pets and finding forever homes for them is our main focus, we are also committed to informing the public about the importance of spaying/neutering their pets, thus reducing the number of unwanted animals that end up in already over crowded shelters.

Our to do list is getting longer by the day.
We need a little help from our friends. We have 3 dogs that need to be spayed (Belle,Dottie and Abby) as well as Hailey also needs to be seen by our veterinarian for probable CHF.
When the hurricane came through it knocked down several trees,including one that literally put a hole in the roof of our building that we use for storing dog cat,horse and goat food,and othe supplies for the animals, also damaged were 2 kennels that now need to be replaced.
The price of hay has gone up as so many farmers lost entire fields of hay as the flood waters rose coupled with the fact that the growing season is now over so the farms that were not damage had already done their last cut for the season.

Everyone meet Aiden!!
This sweet boy is a 1 yr old neutered chihuahua mix. He does have a cleft palate that causes him no issues. It’s not the whole palate just the front. He eats and carries on normally. He is ready for his forever home. Veterinarian references are required for adoption.

What's to remodel...? It's a new house!!

11 am addendum: So I have spoken to someone from the sheriff's office they are going to go down there and Order him to give her some food they cannot legally sees her until someone from the Dept if Ag comes out to evaluate her. The sheriff's department has informed me that even if they think she is in poor condition if they seizes her without her being evaluated by the Department of Agriculture it would be an illegal seizure and she would most likely be returned. This means we won't know anything further until at least Monday. I am eagerly awaiting the sheriff's arrival to evaluate her with a veterinarian
