Thank you for considering Royal K9, LLC for your grooming needs. Below is some information on Royal K9, LLC and policies to better serve you and your dog. Since Royal K9, LLC is a home grooming salon located in my basement I only give out the exact address upon scheduling an appointment. I am located near the cross streets of 76th and Burlingame in Byron Center, Michigan. Please only come by if

you have a scheduled appointment. Rabies information is required prior to setting up an appointment. You can email a copy or text a picture of the certificate. New client paperwork can be filled out online at https://form.jotform.com/211525914437051 or in person at appointment time. I offer one on one grooming so late drop offs may result in the need to reschedule. I ask that you pick up within 15 minutes of a completion call/text so the next dog can have my full attention. For your dog's safety and to respect workers, you can not stay in the home while your dog is being groomed. Please reschedule if your dog is sick, injured, has unexplained skin issues, coughing, sneezing, vomiting, diarrhea, fleas or anything potentially contagious to others. Please check your dog over for signs of fleas before their grooming appointment. Royal K9, LLC is located in my home and therefore can not accept dogs with fleas. Please give 24 hours notice of appointment cancelations or rescheduling. Royal K9, LLC is a holistic, humanity over vanity salon that strives to make as stress free of a grooming environment as possible for your dog. Holistic/humanity over vanity:This means I take the full, physical and mental well being of your dog into consideration during the grooming process and always try to do what is best for them. This could result in matted dogs needing to be shaved and special needs dogs having their appointments broken up into two sessions. I also incorporate positive training techniques into teaching your dog how to behave during the grooming process to help them enjoy their visits. Extra fees that could apply: Late pick ups, no shows, dogs that take longer than normal due to behavior, physical ailments…, a contagious element being discovered on your dog that would need the salon to close for the day to clean. About the groomer

My name is Brooke and I am the owner and sole operator of Royal K9, LLC. I have always had a passion for animals, especially for dogs. I worked as a veterinary assistant for three years before becoming interested in pet grooming. I attended Michigan School of Canine Cosmetology in 2012 and have been grooming ever since. To better understand dogs and pursue another of my passions I later attended Animal Behavior College and received certificates in their dog obedience program, shelter dog training program, pet message, pet CPR, and pet nutrition and diet. I also regularly pursue continuing education at grooming conventions, through books and other sources. I have obtained certificates in workplace safety, the healthy salon sanitation and disease prevention, treatment and prevention of dog aggression: biting and fighting. I previously owned and operated a mobile grooming and training business before transitioning into my home salon and focusing on grooming. I am the proud owner of two Labrador Retrievers and a Husky who love their walks. I look forward to meeting you and your dog(s) in the future!

Hi everyone! As many of you know I have been unable to return to work so far in order to care for my sweet baby boy. Due to this I have been unable to do Royal K9 Gives Back but with Black Friday deals around the corner I will be purchasing items for the Kent County Animal Shelter from my own pocket this year. If anyone would like to contribute as well I provided a link to donate to. Since this is last minute, I don't have a business Venmo set up so I am using my husband's account.

I will be purchasing toys, treats, food and other supplies they may need. Please include your name in your donation for a shout out when I post a picture of the haul. The amount you donated will remain private since all donations are appreciated equally.

Please have all donations in by November 24th. I plan on purchasing and delivering the haul before Thanksgiving or shortly after depending on the shelter's holiday hours.

I am deeply saddened to say that I have learned this week that trying to work and care for an infant is much more difficult than I had anticipated. I thought I had a plan that would work for my son and allow me to continue to groom your furbabies who I have missed seeing over the last few months. Unfortunately, the best laid plans do not always work the way we hoped that they would. My two-hour grooms were turning into 4 to 5 hour grooms. This just isn’t fair to your furbabies. Their care and well-being has always been a priority to me. And, me having to stop several times during a groom to care for my son, is not, in my opinion, giving good care to your furbabies or my son.

Due to the fact that I can’t give my son or your furbabies 100%, I am unable to accomplish what I thought I could. I have never been a person who felt good about doing anything half-way. I am truly sorry to all and especially those I have scheduled as I am no longer able to honor that schedule.

Please know that I love all of your furbabies so much and miss them greatly. To all of my clients, I see you all as good friends and wish you all love and happiness. I hope to see you all again in the future when my pride and joy no longer relies on me as much.💜

Attention Royal K9 clients!💜 I am returning to work with VERY reduced hours since I will be the primary care giver for our son, Jayce. I will be trying to groom a few dogs during the week when my son will potentially be napping but may have to take breaks during grooms to feed or change him. I have a 3 hour window on Fridays when my husband is available to watch the little guy during which I can groom without interruptions.

As with the new year pricing adjustments will be taking place to accommodate the rising cost of products. I am currently going to be operating as cash only, until I am able to accommodate more hours.

Appointments will unfortunately be very limited but I will be doing my best to be a good mom and groomer to your furbabies. Thank you for your understanding ☺️

I was working on getting my start date posted but then we had a medical emergency with our Husky, Kodiak.
He had been battling a rare autoimmune disease since November and even had one of his many surgeries/procedures hours after our son was born. He was on the mend and doing better until all of a sudden he was in pain. At first the emergency vet thought he had a liver infection or liver failure but hours later he was bleeding internally and going into shock. They weren't sure if it was an aggressive cancer or liver failure or what happened since it was all so fast. We said goodbye to him in the early morning hours after a sleepless night.

We will miss you so much baby husky. You were such a goofball making us smile every day. A sweet, cuddly, independent husky who just loved his pack and the snow. We wish you could have had a full life instead of being taken before your 8th birthday. We were so unprepared. We've lost 3 furbabies in 2 years. They were our three amigos and for years everyone used to know us by the house with two labs and a husky. 💔

Hard work really pays off! Renee Hoyt's dedication to Samson's training has bought him a long way. From spinning in circles for hours unable to focus to happily sitting, laying down, and taking his treat gently on command. This was his first day being introduced to the stay command and as you can see he is doing fantastic. A new year a new Samson!
