Dobby is staying with us for boarding for a few weeks while his Mom is out of town. We love getting to catch up with our board & train students and see how they are doing! He’s always the best boy! ❤️

Meet our newest board and train student!

🐾 𝓞 𝓐 𝓚 𝓛 𝓔 𝓨 🐾

Oakley is a two year old Golden Retriever! She is staying with us a for a few weeks to work on several issues. Oakley is very sweet but she really lacks confidence, which can cause her to be very pushy and too invasive at times. Her owners aren’t able to comfortably walk her on a leash and she bolts when she gets startled. While she is here we will be working on lots of confidence building! She will also be working through some other things like leash manners, digging in the yard, and all the normal foundational obedience. We are excited to help her become a more comfortable, confident dog!

Meet our newest board and train student!

🐾 𝐇 𝐔 𝐓 𝐂 𝐇 🐾

Hutch is a Golden Doodle and will be turning 2 on May 1st! He is staying with us for a few weeks for board & train and is having lots of fun here at the farm. Hutch has a great obedience foundation but struggles with managing his emotions when it comes to distractions like other dogs. He also loves to dig holes in the yard! During his program we will be working on lots of obedience, socialization and impulse control. We are excited to see his progress in a few weeks!

Meet our newest board and train student!

🐾 𝐿 𝐸 𝒪 🐾

Leo is a 5 month old Belgian Malinois that has been staying with us for board & train the last few weeks. Leo is a very sweet pup and incredibly intelligent, but was having some issues with reactivity and lack of confidence. While he’s been staying with us we’ve been working on lots of socialization, confidence building, problem solving, and basic obedience and leash manners. He’s been doing great and making lots of progress!

Meet our newest board and train student!

🐾 𝓜 𝓘 𝓛 𝓞 🐾

Milo is a 1 year old Husky mix who is staying with us for a 3 week board & train program to work on some obedience training. Milo is a very sweet boy, but his owners would like to correct some unwanted behaviors like being destructive, counter surfing, pulling on the leash, and running away when he is off-leash. He’s been doing really well his first week here and we are excited to see the rest of his progress!

🐾 𝐙 𝐎 𝐑 𝐑 𝐀 𝐔 𝐏 𝐃 𝐀 𝐓 𝐄 🐾

One of the main goals for Zorra’s training program was a reliable off-leash recall. She was regularly taking off at home after squirrels, rabbits, deer, you name it, and her family was never able to stop her. She’s made a ton of progress in every area the last few weeks but I’m really proud of how she’s been doing with her off-leash skills. Off-leash training is about so much more than a reliable recall, we want our dogs to CHOOSE to be actively engaged with us at a distance and aware of where we are at all times.

Zorra has been working in the fields around lots of distractions. We have horses, cats, and chickens running around the farm. There are always deer and rabbits running through the trails, but Zorra continues to impress me and look at me for direction every time she spots something that interest her. She’s consistently making good choices on her own and that’s what it’s all about.

Don’t get me wrong, unfortunately not every dog is a candidate for off-leash training. All dogs are good dogs, but some have to be managed differently to keep them and everyone around them safe. But for the dogs that are able to safely be off-leash, these skills give them the ability to have a much happier, enriching lifestyle, and you and your dog have the freedom to do so many fun things together!

🐾 𝐙 𝐎 𝐑 𝐑 𝐀 🐾

Zorra is a one year old Belgian Malinois who is staying with us for the month of February to work on basic obedience and address some reactivity issues she is having. She is super sweet and incredibly smart, but she can be very overstimulated and unruly at times. She’s been working hard this week learning her markers, working on engagement and leash skills, and getting lots of exposure to new things! She did fantastic on her first field trip to Home Depot this week as well. Stay tuned to see how much progress she makes this month!

Meet our newest board and train student!

🐾 𝓢 𝓟 𝓔 𝓝 𝓒 𝓔 𝓡 🐾

Spencer is a 3 year old Parsons Russel Terrier. He has been staying with us for a few weeks to work on some reactivity issues. His family did an amazing job putting a good foundation on him and his obedience is excellent. He knows every command in the book and lots of tricks, he can even do backflips off your lap! He’s a very good boy, he just has some trouble controlling his emotions around things that make him excited, like other dogs and animals. He’s made tons of progress the last few weeks and we are excited to see how he does returning home in a few days!

🎉 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐁𝐈𝐑𝐓𝐇𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐀𝐂𝐄! 🎉

Ace is staying with us for our 3 week board & train program along with Sutton and Jack! He’s the sweetest boy and turned 5 years old today! Of course we had to take him on a special field trip to pick out a toy and get him a little birthday cake! Happy happy birthday sweet boy! 🎂

Jack is a 1.5 year old Labrador Retriever who is staying with us for our 3 week board & train! Jack is super sweet, very playful, and obviously adorable! He’s got the goofiest personality and has us cracking up every time we play with him! He lacks some confidence and seems to be shy at times, so we will be taking him out on lots of field trips and working on building up his confidence.

Sutton is a 2 year old Golden Retriever who is staying with us for our 3 week board & train. She is very sweet and playful, but is easily overstimulated which has some caused some issues with some of her siblings at home. Over the next few weeks we will be working on lots of obedience and control commands, adding distance and duration around distractions, and teaching her and her siblings how to relax around each other so their parents can manage multiple dogs more easily and have control in every situation.
