Just got home and unpacked from the Gold Jacket Classic Show in Canton, Oh! What a great show and time with friends! We brought home multiple Best of Opposite Varieties and a couple Best of Variety. We also brought home a Best of Breed in Show B!🥳😍
Thank you Mighty Quinns for MQGCAROL & MQHOTPANTS! They've been a great addition to the rabbitry!

I'm naming this cage "BIG Bertha"

I'm pretty happy with how this cage turned out and also proud of myself because (minus the wire and hanging the doors... needed the husband's help) I built this all on my own. I plan on using this set up for my does to give birth/ raise their kits with plenty of room.

With that being said, I am working on having black, blue, sandy and fawn babies available in late spring🥰

Another successful day at the Rabbit to Riches show at the Auglaize County Fairground today! 🥰 We took 2 bucks from Tater x Clover's litter... they both showed in the youth show and each of them placed BOSB in show A & B. We also got a couple 2nd and 3rd places with the rest of the herd in the Open show.

We took a total of 8 rabbits with us today and I learned I need a bigger vehicle lol my Equinox was maxed out! 😅

LONG POST ALERT:
Update on what's been going on at the rabbitry lately.
Thank you everyone for you patience on getting back to you with answering your messages! 🥰

Basil had a litter of 8 on 7/31, and on 8/6, I found her basically lifeless on her side in her cage. After giving her some Core Nutrition Bounce Back and Core Nutrition Silver (these products are lifesavers!!), she started to become more alert. I thought maybe she was dehydrated because of the heat wave even though she was her normal self the night before.

We later came to realize that she had suffered a back injury, which happens more often in this breed than we'd like to see. I was still letting her babies nurse on her and supplementing with a replacement milk until I knew she was done and didn't want any part in it.

I've been feeding these babies every day since then twice a day, and today, they are 5 weeks old. We lost some along the way, but I'm very thankful these guys are pulling through! I've never had success bottle feeding babies, so these guys are little miracles. We still have a ways to go before we are "out of the woods" and with rabbits, you never know, but I'll continue taking it day by day. 😊

Back to Basil, she is still recovering and able to finally get around on her own to eat and drink. I really didn't think she was going to make it, but I'm also thankful she's a fighter! Obviously, she will be retiring from my show & breeding program.

With that being said, I am looking for the perfect pet home for her to live out the rest of her life. If you are interested in Basil, please reach out for more information.
