First show of the year and first show of two of the weekend!

MQGCAROL took Best of Breed in open flemish Show A by Tom Berger. We went on to the Best in Show round, and although we didn't place, we got an honorable mention by the judge, so I'll take it🥰 This doe continues to amaze me!

Mingo Valley's Oakley took 1st in his class in flemish youth Show A and 2nd in his class in flemish youth show B!

We also picked up our first light grey flemish this weekend. She took 3rd in her class in flemish youth show A and 2nd in her class in flemish youth show B!

We have another show here in Canton tomorrow so stay tuned!

I don't always share the sad side of raising rabbits, but it can be hard. Anyone who raises any animal of quality knows you put everything you have into them, and when things don't go as planned, it hurts.

Rabbits can be very unpredictable, especially first time mom's. Iris started making a nest last night while I was feeding so I knew it would be soon. This morning when I checked, there still weren't any babies. Tonight when I went out, she had had 9 beautiful babies...3 black, 6 blue. Unfortunately with this being her first litter, she did not have them in the nesting box and there were no survivors.

No matter how many times you experience this, it never gets easier. We will try again for another blue and black litter soon. I'm hoping for better success next time. 🤞❤️

I'm so excited to announce the arrival of Mingo Valley's 1st ever sandy litter🥰 This pairing has been long awaited! Updates to come, so far all 3 babies seem plump and healthy🧡🤞

I'm excited to share that this past Friday, Cliff found his new forever home as a house bunny! I'm so excited for Heather and her family. I can't wait to hear all the updates and what she decides to name him🥰

Just got home and unpacked from the Gold Jacket Classic Show in Canton, Oh! What a great show and time with friends! We brought home multiple Best of Opposite Varieties and a couple Best of Variety. We also brought home a Best of Breed in Show B!🥳😍
Thank you Mighty Quinns for MQGCAROL & MQHOTPANTS! They've been a great addition to the rabbitry!

I'm naming this cage "BIG Bertha"

I'm pretty happy with how this cage turned out and also proud of myself because (minus the wire and hanging the doors... needed the husband's help) I built this all on my own. I plan on using this set up for my does to give birth/ raise their kits with plenty of room.

With that being said, I am working on having black, blue, sandy and fawn babies available in late spring🥰
