Meet Shep – Your Loyal Adventure Buddy!

Shep is a stunning long-haired Border Collie with a heart as big as his love for life. With his soft, flowing coat and bright, intelligent eyes, he turns heads wherever he goes. But beyond his good looks, Shep is an affectionate, adventurous, and friendly companion who’s ready to find his forever home.

ATTENTION!
We need the community’s help! The Chippewa Falls police department refuse to do anything on the matter as it is “civil” and the appropriate people to call will unfortunately not be open untill 8 am Monday morning. Rosie has found herself at the Chippewa humane society, anyone who follows our page knows Rosie is everything a husky can be in full form, smart, amazing, beautiful, and an ESCAPE artist! Rosie has been in our care since June 2024. (With multiple secret missions she went on and no issues with getting her back into rescue care from ANY other animal control) When she wants to she can climb a 6-8 foot panel fencing, wooden or chain link, as well as open many doors/latches. Her last adopters did not have a fence as clearly that solution was not working for this smart girl and she was banned to leash walking only. Rosie is now stuck at the Chippewa Humane society, where they are being extremely difficult in this situation. Since the day Rosie was posted we have been in contact with the shelter and local police department regarding Rosie via phone calls, voicemails and emails. They finally answered their regular shelter line today only to inform us they will not be giving us Rosie as they “have a open kennel” and intend to adopt her out after her “stray hold”. Despite proof of ownership to the rescue and a foster who has loved her and advocated for her since day 1 of her coming into rescue and who is committed to seeing Rosie through the end of her life even if she is a forever foster. They informed us they will be adopting out Rosie, no tempermant or behavior questions were asked about Rosie to us, neither were any medical questions. It is clear their intent here is to make a quick flip off of our sweet pup who they have no idea the backstory, behaviors, or medical we have put into saving this dog and her family from the HORRIBLE situation they came from.

We will not be silenced, Rosie does not deserve to sit in a kennel when she has a loving caring person who has been with her from the start ready to take her back in. There are plenty of dogs within Chippewa Humane Society jurisdiction that need help. Why do they need to hold Rosie hostage and adopt her out with no idea or knowledge of her past behaviors and history, very concerning behavior displayed by their manager, and we are concerned for where they will place Rosie and her future knowing they have no information and have asked for no information on her or her backstory.

Meet Nikita, a beautiful young female german shepherd/husky mix with stunning blue eyes that will steal your heart. At a perfect medium size, she weighs around 40 pounds—making her an ideal companion for families of all sizes. Nikita is house trained, spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on monthly preventives and deworming, she’s all set to join her forever home.

This gentle, friendly girl is great with kids and loves being around people. She’s patient and kind, always ready to offer a cuddle or enjoy playtime with the little ones. Nikita also has a soft spot for cats, showing a calm and respectful demeanor with her feline friends. Nikita enjoys playing with other dogs also and is always ready for a fun game or romp in the park. Nikita walks nicely on leash, but she’s equally reliable when off-leash, making her a perfect fit for adventures in the great outdoors.

Meet Sirloin! Sirloin is a 3 legged, 1 year old American bully available for adoption, he is around 65lbs currently and has been nothing short of a phenomenal boy since coming into rescue! This heartbreaker is neutered, microchipped, fully vaccinated, heartworm negative, current on monthly preventives and deworming. He is absolutely perfect, very social with other dogs of all sizes, cat friendly and great with kids! He is doing phenomenal after losing his leg you would never even know he wasn’t a regular pup. He has had no accidents inside his foster home and does well crated with his cone at night! Thank you NorthStar Veterinary Clinic for getting this cutie seen right away so we can make sure he’s ready for adoption, he was a star patient!🌟 He will need his staples removed in a few weeks as well as is on medication daily for pain and an antibiotic that he takes like candy! JUST YOUR DAILY REMINDER!!!

Bringing a rescue pet into your home is an incredible act of kindness, but it’s important to have realistic expectations. These dogs/cats come with unknown histories, past traumas, and learned behaviors—both good and bad. They aren’t perfect, and they aren’t a “clean slate.”

Rescue pets need firm, patient, and consistent leadership. They may have quirks, fears, or bad habits that require correction, structure, and time to work through. Some may have never lived in a home, walked on a leash, or learned basic obedience. Others may test boundaries simply because they’ve never had them before.

The key is understanding and commitment. We don’t always know what they’ve been through, we can guide them to a better future. Proper training, clear expectations, and a willingness to work through challenges are essential.

A rescue pet isn’t always perfect—but neither are we. With the right guidance, they can become the best companions imaginable. Picking the best breeds to fit your lifestyle can make a huge difference!

Meet Twitch – A Survivor Searching For Love

Twitch has already lived through more pain than any soul should endure. She was found near the Mexico border in the RGV, her frail body marked with scars no dog should bear—reminders of cruelty no living thing should face. Someone had used her as an ashtray, pressing ci**rs into her delicate skin, as if she were nothing more than an object.

But Twitch wasn’t alone. She had puppies, just one of her several litters that were and have been depending on her, and despite everything she had endured, she fought to keep them safe, despite all the disadvantages she faced, she managed to escape with 4 surviving pups. She and her puppies were brought to safety and made the long journey to Wisconsin, where they could finally have a chance at a better life. Everyone is now healthy, happy and mama is on the road to recovery. They will be available for adoption once their spay/neuters are complete when they’re of age!

Twitch survived distemper, though it left her with a small tremor—a tiny shake that earned her the name Twitch. But it doesn’t slow her down. (Videos in comments) She’s a fighter, but she’s also the gentlest heart you’ll ever meet. Despite everything, she still wags her tail. She still looks up at people with hope, as if she believes—against all odds—that someone, somewhere, will love her the way she deserves.

Twitch is still waiting. She needs a forever soft place to land, a family that will show her kindness instead of pain, love instead of fear. She may always carry the scars of her past, but with the right person, she can learn what it means to be cherished.

She’s waiting. Will you be the one to show her that the world can be kind?

Meet Ariel, this girls story is absolutely heartbreaking and deserves to be told. Ariel was placed on a foster to adopt through the Humane Society where she was originally from in Texas. She was later found as a stray just a few days later with an arrow in her side running the streets. Once the Humane Society realized she was theirs they reclaimed her and got her all healed up, she was adopted again and let down yet again by being returned one more time. Since then, she has spent the rest of her puppyhood growing up in a shelter with no adoption interest and has gotten barely any breaks from a shelter setting since being a little puppy. She has been failed by humans over and over from trying to kill her by shooting her and then sending her back on the streets and or being adopted and returned twice through no fault of her own. After everything she has endured, she still trusts every human she meets wholeheartedly. This girl‘s personality has absolutely blossomed since arriving to Wisconsin and being in a foster home! She is now fully housebroken, kennel trained, good with dogs as well as good with kids. She has typical puppy energy and is working on learning all of the basic household manners. Cupid the cutie is the last available puppy in his litter! He is a Heinz 57 but we are guessing mostly shepherd/lab around 12 weeks old! He was under socialized as a puppy but has been making huge strides and warms up very fast! He is neutered and current on all age appropriate vetting and ready to go to his new home! He is doing well with house training and kennel training, he knows he eats in his kennel and will run in at dinner time and howl at you untill he is fed, it is very cute! If you’re looking for a funny, happy go lucky pup with quit the personality, Cupid is your guy!

THEY JUST KEEP GETTING CUTER! Sky Blue the adorable “permanent puppy” is a 25lb fully grown happy go lucky Pomsky. This girl will keep you on your toes and always have you smiling with her talking. Sky blue is 8 months to a year old, spayed, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated, microchipped, current on all preventions and deworming. Sky blue loves other dogs of any and all sizes, she likes to mess with cats but has no intentions of hurting them so dog savvy cats would be best for this girl. She LOVES kids and is fully crate trained and does not have any accidents in her kennel, with a good routine in her foster home she is no longer having accidents inside when loose either! Tw***ie is an absolutely adorable “micro” bully weighing in at 25lbs and has the sweetest disposition. She has had a rough life so far before coming into rescue, she is covered in scars all over her chest and the back of her neck, as well as has stained yellow fur and was obviously a breeding female at one time. She is now spayed, microchipped, heartworm negative, fully vaccinated and current on monthly preventions and deworming. She is an absolute doll despite everything she has undergone and been through, she LOVES to play with other dogs of any size but escpecially small breeds, she does not mind cats. She is doing well with crate training, and learning the ropes of house training, this girl will make a great addition to someone’s family we just know it! Sweet Georgia Peach 🍑 this gorgeous chow chow girl is approximately 2 years old, she is a loving girl, who prefers women over men, although she does tolerate men she prefers her affection be from females. This sweetheart is not only beautiful, she is a perfect size around 35lbs she does well with other dogs of all sizes, ignores cat, and loves kids. She is fully house broken, kennel trained, (although she doesnt need to be kenneled) heartworm negative, microchipped, spayed, fully vaccinated and current on monthly preventions and deworming!
