I'm sure she would have loves to find a wonderful home for the 2 of them together. They didn't come from our kennel and little is known about them. DID YOU KNOW THAT YOU CAN'T SPREAD COLD WATER WITH AN OVERHEATED DOG OR PUT A WET TOWEL ON ITS BACK? !! ️.
HERE'S THE INSTRUCTION OF WHAT YOU SHOULD DO..

Animal lovers, never make the mistake of pouring cold water overheated dog or putting a wet towel on its back. You will see the opposite effect.

Due to cold, the veins contract and due to high temperatures (above 42 degrees), the proteins in the blood collide, causing the blood to become thick and tight.

Due to the combination of these two factors, blood stops entering the heart and organs fail one by one due to lack of oxygen.
The result is a very slow but very painful death.

If you try to help an overheated dog in this way, it will die anyway.

First give him lukewarm water to drink, then cool his feet and chest/belly with a wet towel.
Then put the dog in the shade on a wet towel!!!

Sharing is highly desirable because time and time again we see footage of overheated dogs exiting a car with water spilled on their backs.

PLEASE WATCH FOR CARS PARKED ANYWHERE.. There can always be an animal or a child 🙏

Miss Minnie had a Vet trip today, she has bronchitis and a bit of an enlarged heart. Minnie will be 13 years old on Aug 9. She will take meds for her heart from here on and a steroid to heal the bronchitis.

Our girl Copper is 4!! She is the most clingy catahoula we have had. I absolutely am obsessed with her too! She loves jeep rides, runs with me, following me around just everywhere, laying on me, and DQ pup cups.

Ruby had surgery 2 weeks ago regarding the cut and absess I previously posted about. After a drain tube, an aweful cone(she made it 10 days before she managed to break it ) TODAY WAS THE DAY stitches all out!!! 👐 FYI yes Catahoulas shed 🤣😂

**Update** Her vet assures me it is an abscess from her cut. Had us worried it came out of nowhere and is the size of a naval orange! Ruby got her 1st rabies shot also and is all settled back in at home.

Paws crossed taking Ruby to the vet she has a cur that is infected and a large tumor that has came up in a hurry

This is the second dog in the last two weeks that we’ve had come in to our hospital with this type of bone stuck around it’s mandible. Separate companies but the EXACT same design.

Please do NOT buy this type of bone for your pup! It’s not worth the risk. Luckily for this patient, our technician was able to wiggle it free but our previous patient was under general anesthesia for nearly a half hour while we went through every tool in our arsenal to saw through both sides of the bone safely.
Both dogs are lucky that they did not end up with lacerations or broken teeth.

Sweet little girl wore herself out. She was a big hit at the vet, made friends with everyone. Walked on a leash for the 1st time in her life I was impressed! Got her Rabies shot and all clear to fly! Headed to Oregon there's a very anxious man waiting for her to arrive. She was so good I treated her to a DQ pup cup.
