Alley came to us a few weeks back with an unknown injury. After her x-rays were reviewed she was found to have compression fractures along her spine down to her tail. Because of these fractures, Alley had no motor control over her hind limbs or her bowel movements. Our shelter veterinarian gave us three options for Alley.....chiropractic treatments, hospice care to keep her comfortable, or humane euthanasia. We opted to contact animal chiropractors in the state to see if Alley would be a candidate for treatments. After multiple doctors confirmed, we chose to get Alley scheduled for her treatments.
We decided to work with Dr. Casie Ogden from Head To Tail Chiropractic in Conway. It has been an eye-opening experience!! Alley has her 4th treatment this week and is now putting weight on her hind limbs and relieving her bladder/bowel on her own. Dr. Ogden has been wonderful in training our veterinary technician on exercises between appointments. We hope that Alley will continue to improve and she will be adopted into a wonderful, loving home! She is a precious kitty that deserves the very best!
Our fundraising goal is $750 which will pay for Alley's 6 chiropractic treatments! Please let us know if you have any questions or need a different way to donate. We also offer Venmo and Paypal. #amazingalley #headtotail #adopt
