Cabot Animal Support Services, the Cabot Animal Shelter, and Animal Field Services will be CLOSED today in observance of the Fourth of July. If you have a true animal emergency, please contact the NON-EMERGENT number for Cabot Police Department and they will page a Field Services Officer. Please be cautious with your pets this Fourth of July holiday! Always have proper identification on them and make sure it is updated. If you can't provide an ID tag or have your pet microchipped, please write your phone number and address on their tummy with a marker. Every little bit helps to ensure they get home safely if an accident occurs and they escape!

Snorkel says "It's hotttt outside!". Please make sure your outdoor pets have plenty of fresh, clean water and a nice shady area to rest.

Snorkel also wants you to know that he is available for adoption and would love a home where he could have his own pool to play in! Come visit him and all of his siblings M-F from noon to 5pm. Don't forget that we will be closed Friday for the Fourth of July.

The City has an exciting opportunity for a new, grant-funded part-time position in Animal Services. This Adoption Event Coordinator will host on-site adoptions on the weekends at various locations in Central Arkansas.

Ideally, we are looking for a person who can work 8 hour shifts on Saturday AND Sunday (potentially Friday and Saturday). The City will also interview and consider candidates who can only work one of these days though.

Applicants must be 21 years of age due to driving the adoption unit and interactions with the public. Since this is grant funded, the position will pay $25.00 an hour!
