ADOPTION UPDATE: Thanks to the Hansens' for providing the transport, Kuma made it safely to the halfway point to have his meet & greet with his new mommy Carol. OKLAHOMA CITY PUPPIES UPDATE: All 4 puppies have been adopted and or are spoken for! 2 of the little buggers were adopted by Lori Gibson of Apache Junction, AZ. Lori flew out here to DFW yesterday and drove back non-stop and arrived home in Apache Junction earlier today. 1 boy and 1 girl. Welcome Bonnie & Clyde to the Gibson pack! LOL….. Bonnie & Clyde appear to be settling in nicely with their new daddy as seen in one of the photos. Valerie Fox with LSAR, Lone Star Akita Rescue, rescued these 4 Akita puppies at approx 13 weeks of age from a shelter up in Oklahoma City, OK. 2 boys & 2 girls (no names yet but coming soon, lol...)! We are not sure of the circumstances of how the shelter received them but they are in good hands now here at West Caddo Creek Farms. Hey everyone! Forest arrived safe & sound after being dumped and running around stranded for several days/weeks out in the middle of a park in the Memphis, TN area. Thanks to the Southern Akita Rescue Alliance - SARA Forrest was taken immediately to a local Vet to get the proper medical care needed. ADOPTION UPDATE: Piper and her transport finally made it to Knoxville, TN to meet up with her new mommy, Toni Marie. She is a happy little girl. Now for a quick trip over the Virginia state line and she’ll arrive in her furever home. Great news everyone! After an awesome meet & greet a few weeks back with Sandy and her family from OK, Teddy the longcoat Akita was officially adopted! When Sandy pulled up to our kennel, she said to Teddy, “hey Buddy are you ready to go?” and that was more than enough for him. He ran over to Sandy, gave her a big hug, then hopped up into the back of her SUV and looked at her as if he was saying “ok let’s roll”! LOL…..
