You see the stretches of wood above the plants? 💡 Those hold our grow lights! A common mistake is having grow lights positioned too far from the plants—sometimes it’s an experiment on what works best, but our crops are soaking up this light!

We have now started harvesting radishes in the basement and we've planted over 1,600 seeds in the basement garden. 🌱 We have Parsley, Spinach, Arugula, Nelson Radishes, French Breakfast Radishes, Baby Beets, Baby Leaf Lettuce, and Radicchio!

Winter is in full swing out at the farm and we are continuing to make adjustments to keep all of our animals happy and warm! We have started heating the barn coop and are looking to possibly bring in an egg incubator so that we can expand our chicken flocks and potentially add Duck and Turkeys to the farm!

We've had lots of field trips at the farm keeping us BUSY! The student in these photos noted how much better our food tasted compared to store-bought. He especially loved the squash—it even inspired him to start his own garden this spring! 🌱

This week we're wrapping up our field harvests and gearing up for winter production. We're looking forward to having a small market through the colder months and vegetable starts ready in the spring. 🌱 Plus, we’re excited to host another CAPS elementary tour this Thursday with 80 students exploring the farm! 🚜

Take a look at our basement spinach starts! 👀 #spinach #farm #plants

Jason has planted the first seeds in the basement garden! Over 500 seeds were planted into soil blocks that were made on sight with no pot materials. 🌱 This helps the oxygen get to its roots and makes them easy to transplant later on.

We had a perfect weekend for the Plein Air workshop on the farm! Plein Air leaves the four walls of the studio behind and allows you to paint and draw in nature.🌿 This practice goes back centuries and was made into an art form by French impressionists. Stay tuned on our socials for future events!
