As we come to the end of 2023 I would like to reflect on an incredible year at Whisky River Gun Dogs. Now, keep in mind none of this would have been possible without the help of our wonderful Whisky River team. So Thank you to all who helped and supported us on our journey. We won the Hogan Award for the top National Handler. Maverick was the National High Point Open dog and took a Certificate of Merit at the Open National. Clover was the National High Point puppy. Wilco got his open title at 2 years old. Booker and Scotch also got their open titles. We have a number of talented young dogs coming up, which I'm very excited about. We were also pleased with the opportunity to judge the Springer National Amateur and the Cocker National Open. But most important we cultivated and grew many long standing relationships and made many new ones and we had a lot fun along the way. Looking forward to the new year.

Ryelee a 6 year old sexually intact female is looking to be rehomed. She was trained for field trials and hunting. She is great in the house and a monster in the field.

This big boy had another outstanding performance at a National. In 2020, Guinness took 3rd. This year he recieved a Certificate of Merit at the National Open Championship. Only 10 of 120 best dogs in the country recieved any type of ribbon. I love watching Guinness when he smells a bird. He has possibly the best nose of any dog I've ever trained.

Ms. Bella had 5 excellent series at the 2022 National Open Championship. For her outstanding performance Bella recieved a Certificate of Merit, which is no easy feat. She is an absolute joy to work with and train. Bella is owned by Ryan and Courtney Kistner.

Winston had an outstanding go at the 2022 National Open Championship taking 2nd place out of 120 of the best dogs in the US. The judges nick named him the Beast. He has a never ending drive. I'm very proud of the work and what Winston accomplished this year. He is owned by Lynn Christen.

Maverick earned his Field Championship with a 1st place finish today at the Kansas field trial. His daughter Scotch took 2nd in the puppy stakes.

We just returned from training and field trialing in Kansas. A huge Thank you to the Oklahoma and North Platte clubs for all their hard work. We had some success. Maverick took 3rd in 2 of the 3 trials. Jiggs, ran by Van Welke won the first puppy stake, Scotch took 4th. Then Scotch won the next 2.
