It’s cold! Let’s talk about blanketing for a few minutes!

When do you blanket your horses? For us it’s a horse by horse basis. Some of them never get blanketed. Some are show clipped so they are blanketed any time that it’s below 45 degrees. Others get them when it is super windy or raining.

In my experience there’s no general rule that is perfect for every horse. 🐴 I always see people blasting other people for their blanketing practices but honestly nobody knows your horse as well as you do, so you do your own thing as long as it works for you and your horse! There’s already too much hate in the world, let’s share some love instead and let people do what is best for their particular horses! Have a wonderful day!
