We also allow for self care overnight guests, for $20 a night starting July 15th, if you need a spot to lay over before or after getting horses worked on!

We ask that you call or text ahead to schedule rehab appointments, but no reservations are needed to stay at our wonderful facility!👏🏻

To celebrate an incredible season, and to make it the best last day, ever… we will have SLAY THE SNOW, at Outback July 12 (Friday) from 1pm to 3pm!

So if you have an appointment that day, the snow cone trailer will be set up & have snow cones available to purchase during that time! Or maybe you just want to stop by and grab one of the BEST SNOW CONES you’ve ever had… and hangout with us! We welcome that too!💜

You want to know what makes me happy?

When I go to check on horses and I find that our amazing team of ladies who help care for each and every one of these animals has taken an extra 15 minutes out of their day to braid manes and tails…

This mare is a two year old we have in for breeding and flushing embryos, we have kept her fit while here, utilizing our free flow exerciser, because as soon as she’s done, she will go back to the trainers looking towards a successful fall in the cutting pen.

It makes me happy that our team truly does go the extra mile. No this isn’t something we charge to do, it’s just something to show how much we truly care.

That’s what I love most.💜

Makes me believe we have the absolute best team possible!

What a season it has been, it seems like this time of the year is a whirlwind, and I’ve been a little slow on updating our daily successes…

But a cool story about a mare we have here all the way from 🇨🇦 Canada 🇨🇦

We were sent a very special mare, who the owners had previously struggled getting any embryos from. Feeling defeated they sent us this mare as a last resort, based on the recommendation from some friends…

We wanted to be realistic with them, as they had a large list of studs and a lot of contracts to fulfill due to the failed attempts prior. But our team went to work…

The first season, was a huge success, we got 7 embryos from 4 flushes, and 7 recipients left the US for Canada that year, the next year we successfully flushed several more embryos, and this year… we have recovered 7 more embryos in 5 flushes. There are always factors that come in to play, and sometimes not every recip will hold, but it’s pretty amazing to know we can help our clients get these kind of results, from standard embryo transfer (not ICSI)

We understand how special these mares are to you, and trust us when we say they are just as special to us!

I have employees who (are more like my friends) upset when their favorite horses leave… it’s an emotional attachment for us spending most of our waking hours with them. But I think that’s what makes us special. They aren’t just a number. Most of them we know their stories, what they’ve won, and a lot of them spend more time with us than they do their owners. We treat them like our own.🖤

Wow, we feel like we just started and the next thing we know it’s almost July!

As always our reproduction side of things close for the season as of July 12th, and your last day to get mares bred is June 28th, with most facilities stopping their shipping at that time.

It’s been a very successful and rewarding season, we are grateful for everyone who has selected us to help grow their breeding programs!

We re-open in January of 2025… it’s never to early to start thinking about next years plans!🥰

𝙍𝙊𝘿𝙀𝙊 𝙁𝙍𝙄𝙀𝙉𝘿𝙎 as we approach the end of breeding season, our team has once again decided to open up our facility to all our friends traveling away from home this summer!

We have over 150 stalls, most of which sit empty during our “off season” and we are conveniently located right off the Middleton Exit 25. Just 2 minutes off the freeway, in Caldwell, Idaho!

This is a very nice, well kept facility and is a great place to layover! We don’t have hookups available, however we have plenty of room to pull in and stay, just pull in the second entrance and park in the back. No charge for dry camping or anything like that!

It’s $20 a night, self serve. (If you are using our shavings it’s $8 a wheel barrow load) This is an honor system, please do not take advantage. Payments can be placed in the drop box out front, if we feel people are staying and not paying - we will no longer offer this to the public. We want it to be affordable and convenient for everyone - thankfully everyone in the past has been incredible! So I assume this will be the same!

𝙉𝙚𝙬 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙮𝙚𝙖𝙧!!!!

We now have our 𝙊𝙪𝙩𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙀𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙣𝙚 𝙍𝙚𝙝𝙖𝙗 & 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙙𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 facility open as well which is right there on-site! If you have extra horses that you want to stay here, while you head to a rodeo, you can talk to our team about keeping your horses cared for and fit or treated while you hit the road! Keep the miles off the ones you aren’t needing and pick up a very refreshed horse on your way back through!

It’s been busy around here lately!

But we have been having great success! Yesterday we had not one, not two, but TEN embryo flushes - we had great recovery rates and even confirmed some heartbeats and 14 day preg checks!💜

We truly have some of the best stallions around, right here in our barn, for everyone to have the opportunity to book and breed to!

This group is not only DIVERSE, but they’re truly special. They’re so kind, and easy to be around… we feel extra lucky to have such an elite group of stallions to handle daily. Plus their owners are all amazing people who truly want the best for the mare owners!

A friendly reminder all shipping options are unavailable for MEMORIAL DAY! Both FedEx and the Boise Airport’s Cargo are closed for the holiday.

All semen orders will be pick-up only on Monday.

Mares on farm will be bred as usual.

Please make note if you are short cycling your mares! FedEx and Cargo are both closed for the holiday. 🇺🇸

Just a shoutout to one of the hardest working guys we know… Dr. John Brinkerhoff!

Not only is he the lead veterinarian here at Outback Stallion Station & Embryo Transfer Center he is one of the most dedicated veterinarians to his profession. He has taken on the challenges of hard to breed mares, and given so many customers hope that it can be done!

He is here before the sun comes up, working alongside our team to give every client and horse that walks through our doors their best chance at success.

We couldn’t do it without him, and we are lucky to have someone like him as an owner and veterinarian!

When he is not at Outback doing reproduction, he is back at Idaho Equine Hospital doing a large amount of advanced dentistry procedures and helping clients there.

What a day, team work is always apparent here at Outback, truly we have the hardest working team I know and we can’t ever thank them enough!

Dr. Ruth Snow came out today, you all will be seeing her a lot more this next season… she’s pretty amazing and we are so excited to have her going between us and Idaho Equine.

She’s proven to be an amazing veterinarian- and we know our clients will absolutely love her!

Today we had 5 embryos flushes and we recovered 4 embryos… we always want 100% success rates, but sometimes it just isn’t in the cards, but we will take the 4 and make a new plan for the last!

Appreciate our clients who support us so much… to those who give us a special treat, to the thank yous, it doesn’t go unnoticed.💓

It’s MAY of breeding season and it seems we are so busy that sometimes I forget to stop and take pictures 🤦🏼‍♀️🫣

But today we had three embryo flushes and we got three beautiful embryos!
