It's New Year's Eve, and the excitement and sounds can sometimes frighten or trigger the furry members of our family. We want you to have a fun celebration, but also one that keeps your pets safe & happy too! 🎆 Here are some tips to ensure an enjoyable holiday for everyone:

1. Keep pets indoors, or on a leash outside. Fear response can mean running away, not just staying clear of a threat.

2. Keep tags & microchips up to date with your pet's name, your name, and correct contact information and vaccination records.

3. Secure doors, windows, gates & crates. Make sure your pet's indoor enclosure has access to food & water, and is away from windows with blinds/curtains closed.

4. Use your pet's favorite comfort items - wrap shirts, blankies, toys, pet-friendly white noise machines or videos, and calming treats can help with anxiety.

5. Take extra play time or a long walk before the fireworks and celebrations start. Stimulating exercise and activities can tire out your pet and calm them down.

6. Offer a quiet and safe space to feel secure and hide. This can be a crate, a room, or anywhere in your house your pet chooses and feels comfortable.
